Before I ordered this music centre I read a lot of the reviews about it on here...and wasnt too sure whether I should buy it. However, I bit the bullet and ordered one. It arrived the very next day which was excellent service, and when I opened the box I was very pleasantly surprised. It has that vintage retro look, in wood not plastic, which I like, and having had a cursory look at the set up manual (men dont read manuals!) I found it was a very simple task to get the centre working, as long as you remember to switch it on at the back of the machine! The remote control is a bonus, which I have found to be so easy to operate. All the options...HiFi, radio, CD and tape all work perfectly. It gets a bit of getting used to waiting for the toner arm to drop on the HiFi unit, but the sound quality is excellent for the price paid, and though there is no treble/bass option, there are settings for different music styles which compensates. I also like the dial tuning on the radio, reminded me of my youth when all radios required manual tuning...none of this modern pre-set station selection.I've only had the music centre for 2 days, but my initial impression is that it is a quality machine which will certainly satisfy my need to be able to play my vinyl and CDs again. If you're looking for a good quality value for money music centre, I'd recommend this one...it sounds as good as it looks!Just a quick note to point out that some who have bought this have complained that when playing a record, the deck switches off before the end of the record. This is because there is an auto-stop function which assumes every record is of the same duration. If you switch the auto-stop function off, (the switch is next to the lever that raises the toner arm) the record will play to the end. Hope this helps.

Fairly decent piece of equipment , bought before we had decided to throw out Lps cassettes and other music equipment . Nice to listen to the sound as it was once, we will stick with the music centre x good clear sound, large equipment taking up some space, old times remembers x

I read reviews of all the current all-in-one sound systems for sale. I was up and down in making a choice but finally went for the light wood option of this model. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised.Its great.Unpacked easily, tried the CD player first and got to grips with the sound - have settled for the rock option for the moment which has a reasonable bass and is loud enough without distortion. Yes the CD holder is a little wobbly but aren't they all? Just be gentleI then put on a really old vinyl - the original My Fair Lady from the stage version of 1956!!! I kid you not.It was perfect - not a bump, not a skip. I have to say I bought a cleaning set with the system and it seemed to pick up all the dust and hair . I suggest you clean your vinyls before use. The record player has a manual aspect to it but that's part of going old school, along with the radio dials.One thing I will mention is that the manual advises the removal of the turntable transit screw. We had a good look for it - the quick start guide clarifies that it is no longer required!When recording from CD to USB you can choose between recording just one track or the whole CD.The remote is effective once you are familiar with the buttons.My only regret is that I forgot to check if this system had bluetooth capabilites. I should perhaps have gone up to the 9-in1 version. But that's on me.Thankfully so far everything is working well, the sound is good and it looks fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased. It was a great buy for the price

It's a lovely record player. We haven't tried any cassettes as due to lockdown I can't travel to get my collection. The radio, cd and vinyl player are perfect though and it gives a decent sound, and if you want better, it can be hooked up with a set of speakers. Built-in speakers will never be as awesome as a surround stereo system obviously but it's very enjoyable in an average size room.It was a wholly new concept for me that the belt had to be adjusted by myself and the printed manual was not very clear at all. Thank God for YouTube! If you're not a natural tech geek, search YouTube its amazing really everything is on there!Still, the tiny clip that holds the turntable secure was a hell of a job to "pop off" and then back on again without damage because it doesn't just "pop off" as breezily as they make you believe it should. It is made very very secure and it was a bit of a wrestle and a prayerful one. I kept thinking that this is something the customer should really not be required to do and take the responsibility of possibly voiding the warranty in the process, due to some scratch or some such damage made. I did it but I bloody well hope I won't need to do a replacement on the belt anytime soon!The only small issue that remains is with the hinge as I open the top it seriously sticks and I have to help it by hand both when opening and closing. It will need to be oiled. Also the top doesn't seem to sit exactly straight. The reason I'm not bothering to ask for an exchange is because I have already had to return one which was a different brand and squeaked aloud over the music with every turn of the records.I do like this one it was worth the money.

When we first took this out of the packaging we noticed there were several marks and dings on the woodwork (see photos), which would have dropped this review to maybe a 3, but not enough to want to send it back. It was after all only £164, so we could probably live with those.The first real problem came with the sound quality of the turntable. There are some tonal changes available (Rock, Pop, Classical etc), but regardless, the sound is pretty thin and tinny. But even that was acceptable - we could use alternative speakers.The second and real problem came when using the CD player. It was noisy. Very noisy. Akin to the drone of an aircraft engine in the distance, and audible above the best efforts of Pink Floyd, The Beatles and JJ Cale. That was unacceptable, so unfortunately we made the decision to send this back.What is more concerning is that when looking at the options for what we oldies would call a "Music Centre" - although there are different brand names available on Amazon and elsewhere, they all look suspiciously similar - like they're all made in the same factory in China from the same components. Whatever happened to Sanyo, Sony, Iawa, Philips, Panasonic and even Bush? Ah,well - "modern times" I guess...

We ordered this as it looked sturdy and I thought because it was a partly wooden housed construction, it would make for better sound with a good bass. Set up was easy but I think there's an issue with the lid hinge for the turntable as I have to do a little adjustment with my finger to get the hinge to lock into upright position. The CD and bluetooth work well and the sound is quite reasonable (I haven't tried the tape, radio, aux or USB yet for sound. However, the turntable is quite tinny and although I adjusted the EQ whilst playing CDs to get more punchier bass, this doesn't seem to apply to playing records - the sound seems the same no matter the setting. One of the main selling points for me was the facility to record from analogue to usb memory stick. However, there is no way to insert track increments when recording so you end up with one overall mp3 file. When recording from CD to mp3, track increments do, apparently, insert automatically so why there is no option to do this for other media, I don't know. Overall, I am quite happy with it - at least me and hubby can air our old vinyls and tapes.

Not the best but let’s say that does the work well in mostly all of them.I expected worse on the speakers.My version let’s you connect additional speakers.The con is the tape started falling after a couple of months

Sorry may the unit will be great...but it arrived with a plug for great Britain.... so what the heck...Not really what I'm after ,because ordered of an Australian website so expected it will be a Australian connection, didn't even had a thought of it ...so not the best outcome ..have to buy now a adapter to make that work ...not really happy

Why would you not clarify that theelectricity plug is only for the UK? This is useless to us in Australia.
