I bought these lights due to their size and brightness. I am really pleased with these little lights. I am an electrician and am always looking for good cheap lighting. When ever I go to a house the nights never seam to come on until I am ready to leave, SHOCKING! (Sorry for the electrician joke.) These lights are very bright and the size is perfect to clip onto your hat. They take AAA batteries so you can replace the batteries for cheep or use rechargeable batteries like I do. They are relatively bright. My guess from past experience with more expensive lights is that they are putting out around 200 lumans. A little less than advertised but still pretty powerful. There is one down side to these little lights after about 2 hours of use they over heat and shut down. At first I thought it drained the battery in 2 hours of use, but when I went to change the battery at the end of the day I flicked it on and it was as bright as ever. Over all I have recommended these little lights to several friends and co-workers. So fare I have heard no complaints. And with the price you can drop it down a wall or drop it in the attic insulation and not want to cry. I can get 10 of these for the price I paid for other brands. So I give it a 5 star rating for price, size, and output.

I have a bit of a problem buying too many flashlights. I lose them constantly and for some reason feel like I need have enough light to cover a stadium. that said. these are great for the money I purchased the 2 pack to try them when I couldn't find my Streamlight. obviously these are not the same quality but you can buy a 10 pack for the same price (Which i later did for gifts) all of them work and have great light output for the cost. i have a few more expensive lights of similar size that have nowhere near the output. that said it is not 500 lumen. Amazon lets people put whatever they want for the output and 500 lumen would be ridiculous to expect from a light fed off of 2 AAA batteries. The true output is probably around 100 lumens which is great for a little light like this and it is about the same as my Streamlight and much brighter than my Milwaukee . The battery life is not great but that is to be expected with cheaper LEDs and a bright output. for the price these are great if you know what to expect and I recommend these if you are someone like me that looses and breaks things frequently.

I ordered the 10-pack and I have handed many out to friends and family and everyone loves them! They are durable and have a simple ON or OFF button. There are no 'modes' such as brightness, flash, etc... that other flashlights offer that make you hit the button multiple times to simply get the flashlight on in its brightest mode! A friend of mine is a mechanic and he goes through flashlights - until I gave him one of these. He asked me for four more! He loves them. I use them for computer work. Every computer tech should have a small, bright flashlight like this! I have nothing negative to say. I can't find anything wrong with the quality, the button functionality, the brightness, the battery install (2 AAA batteries required) - it is simply designed with no bells or whistles, solid metal, and cheap enough that if it breaks or gets lost, chances are good you got your monies worth at <$3 each! Fantastic value at twice the price!

A after unbox found 1 unit did not work out of the 5 in the box. Holiday season not worth the time to try to return all items in the box.

Some work well from the start, and some you have to shake to get it to light up. Bad connection somewhere. For the price they are pretty good.

These pen flashlights are fantastic! They’re small and compact, making them super convenient to keep in random places like my purse, car, toolbox, kitchen, or nightstand.
