good product works well

Don’t buy this product. It simply doesn’t work. I’m so gutted that I used it as it has ruined my door. You have to be organised and paint it on twice way in advance. Then when you go to remove it, it simply doesn’t peel off anywhere where there is paint…which is what it is supposed to do. Plus, even worse, it peels off the actual woodwork I assumed it would simply behave like a primer or something where it overlapped the wood. But it doesn’t. The whole thing is a mess and needs rubbing down and doing again. I’m so angry. It also took over an hour to remove.

The masking paint I ordered arrived on time, but I was a little sceptical as to if it would work as once you commit there’s no going back, I had a wooden door with 10 glass panels, smooth on one side pitted on the other, I painted it on and left to dry for 3 hours then applied a second coat, and yes to my surprise it worked really good product on both smooth and pitted glass, word of warning, Only paint the area you wish to mask, ie the glass, don’t paint the surrounding wood as it will pull the paint off also, over all a good product as long as used correctly

It seemed such a good idea; avoid the way paint can creep under masking tape by using a mask that binds more closely to the surface, but can still be torn off easily. There is a fundamental flaw, though. Unless you are almost as adept at cutting-in with the liquid tape as you'd need to be with paint without it, bits of the surface you're trying to paint can get accidentally masked. Worse still, when you pull off the liquid tape, it's not just these bits that lose their paint; three layers of paint (primer, undercoat, gloss) hang together very well, so you can end up with more unpainted surface, as in my photograph. To be fair, that is a particulaly bad part of the job, but it shows how bad things can get. My wife and I both bought a pot of this very expensive product; one of them is going back! We'll buy Frog tape with the refund.

I used this to mask off an area while sandblasting and it performed excellently. And was removed with no problem. Left no residue. Do remember to apply at least two layers as the thicker it is the easier it is to remove.
