Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Carpet Cleaner, 2.1L, 960W, EX200UK

We have a dog and also foster for our local sanctuary, despite all our efforts at training and cajoling they do sometimes forget to wipe their feet properly after their walk. As we have a Shark vacuum and think it is the best thing since sliced bread we went for the Shark CarpetXpert. We are not disappointed. The machine is almost ready out of the box, just the handle and hose to attach. It is easy to fill and empty and the cleaning of the machine afterwards is about as good as it can be with minimal fuss. Most importantly, I defy a professional cleaner to get the carpets any cleaner, we are super impressed. A couple of hours and the carpets are dry and smell lovely. Just one niggle, the cost of the shampoo. We are going to try a different brand and compare the results, if we need to go back to the original, so be it. If the machine continues to perform like it does for a few years we will be happy bunnies.

What a great shark carpet cleaner. What great results very light to move around. And very easy to use. Very small dirty water container but thats not to worry about small point really.

Overall I am really impressed with the results on carpets. We cleaned the carpets throughout the whole house and they already look fresher, brighter and much cleaner. It’s really crazy to see how much dirt it lifts out. One of the best things about this machine is that it’s not heavy like some other carpet cleaners I have used before and store easily along side my hoover. It moves smoothly across the carpet and glides really well, which makes it much easier to use when cleaning multiple rooms. It also comes with lots of tools and two bottles of solution in the box one for the main carpet cleaning and one designed to be used with the handheld tool for smaller areas or stains. Considering everything included, it feels like really good value. The main carpet cleaner works brilliantly. After a few passes the carpets looked noticeably cleaner and refreshed and doing the whole house was surprisingly easy. However, I didn’t have the same experience with the handheld tool. When I tried using it on the sofa and staircase, it relies more on manually spraying the solution and rubbing the tool over the surface rather than deep cleaning like the main floor head. I found it left small damp patches rather than evenly cleaning the fabric, so it wasn’t as effective as I expected for upholstery or stairs. I am really happy with the cleaner for carpets and larger areas. It’s lightweight, easy to move and does a great job lifting dirt. The handheld tool just didn’t work as well for me.

This is exalent, we used it for the first time today after buying it at a small discount from the Amazon warehouse as the box was damaged, when we first opened it we though maybe some of the parts would be missing with it being returned or kept back due to the box damage. Up on opening it everything was there cleaning solution, all the parts and the 5 different cleaning brushes. I was able to put it together myself and found it easy to use (I’m a woman but a bit of a tinker) but even if you had no idea how to assemble anything it is incredibly easy to work out. Only after I put it together did I realise there was a video on how to assemble it lmao. Anyway we have 2 puppies under two one who is still toilet training and so obviously they can make a bit of a mess from time to to by accident so we used this today and found that our carpets came out brand new we are absolutely impressed with this product and would recommend anyone to get it. To use it is really easy with most carpet cleaners you have to hold a button to use the water with this you don’t it does it all for you. The LEF lights at the top really help to maintain it and tells you when it needs to be emptied it, at the top of the tank it tells you what each light means and also selfs cleans when you set it to this helps when your a bit of a clean freak or a little OCD as you don’t have to get yourself dirty cleaning it manually. The effectiveness it’s astounding our carpets look emasculate and the suction when set to dry is fab to as it leaves the carpets almost 100% dry in regards to the size I find this good to as it’s just like a normal hoover so it is easy to remover around the place we are definitely happy customers and highly appreciated the quality for the price we payed

Having been super impressed by one of their NV602UK vacuums, and how my VAX Spotwash literally fell apart not long after two new puppies arrived in the household, I purchased this in the nick of time. There was a couple of QR tags that took me to short videos on how to use it, then I was away. I could not believe the results. My carpets are old, like really old, and have dark patterns. Finding pee was usually a case of 'wet sock', but as I had learned to now wear slippers, the only giveaway was that delightful ammonia smell that burns your nostrils. One relatively short session with this unit, and oh my god what a difference! Not only had the ammonia smell gone...they actually smelt nice. The amount of grime it picked up was frankly, disturbing. I knew to get a carpet washer with a hose attachment because I knew a deep clean is not needed that often if you can stay on top of messes. My puppies had diarrhea, sparing details, it has been a challenge! Without this machine, well, I'll leave it to your imagination. I knew this machine was a tad expensive, but knew now having 3 dogs it would be an investment, and I dare say it's 50% paid for itself already after only two weeks! Compared to the VAX, it's better in all aspects, the water tank fits under my bathroom tap, it's a bigger tank, and uses less solution, to clean so much better. The accesories have me covered in all areas, and replacement parts are actually available (unlike the VAX). It's also so much easier to clean and maintain. If I could go back in time 18 months, I would tell myself, spend more, trust in Shark.

This is a fantastic carpet cleaner. Having two dogs you can often end up with marks that need cleaning out of the carpet, and whilst it might seem overkill to use a full size machine, it does just work brilliantly. No constant scrubbing by hand, just a quick two minute job and it’s done. Doesn’t take long to clean a whole room either, and seems to leave the carpet a lot dryer than a previous vax model I had.

Easy to use instructions are good and it works a treat it’s not huge either

Its mostly for convenience for old people rather than getting a bicep work out stabbing the carpet with a pro tool. The Bad: - It dumps a load of water on the ground and does not suck up enough, meaning it takes about an hour or a bit more dry, a fan or dehumidifier would help to speed it up - Short hose. can be a pain when you have drag the thing up and down the stairs. -Mostly had no use for the stain remover booster bit for hand cleaning, but it is slightly easier to clean off grease stains. -Somewhat expensive cleaning solution refills, but you can use other products, despite whatever the company says. I just rinse my carpet a bunch with it. -Can clean a 3.5x4m room on one tank. probably more if you are fast at applying the water on the forward stroke. The Good: -Small size, relatively light weight, relatively compact for the closet. If you have a carpeted, pokey house with lots of clutter, this is the one. Very convenient to pull out for emergency situations. -despite the long drying times, it doesn't destroy my carpet. -Quite easy to maintain, though I would have liked to open up the plastic housing a bit more -I can unplug the stain remover booster thing for regular cleans. -Has a dry only mode for sucking up excess water. Notes for tinkerers: -I have a serial aversion to shark products, I only bought it as an all-in-one package for carpets and upholstery with elderly parents in mind, and they love Shark. Having repaired a few of their products, Shark are pretty much designed to be as a difficult as possible to fix up. The company are also a pain to source OEM parts from in the event it breaks, so if you plan on keeping it long term, get spares now (eg. spare hose, filters, brush etc).
