Giving it a 1 start for several reasons - shoes I received were defective and made a loud clicking noise whenever I took a step - especially loud when going uphill. (Note that others have also mentioned this issue.) So, that's ok, defects happen, but then when you go to return it, you realize it came from Slovakia and you need to pay the postage to ship it back. (Maybe my bad for not reading carefully.) They do give a $20 postage credit on the refund, but my cost to return it was $75. I have been wearing Salomon's for years and will give them another try - but avoid this vendor!

These are great "if" you get the goretex version. The ClimaSalomon version is waterproof but doesn't breathe well at all. My feet typically don't sweat but they definitely did with the ClimaSalomon lining.

I've owned Salomons in the past and they are typically extremely durable which is why I bought another pair. However the left shoe makes a popping noise when I walk. Super irritating!!! I think it's the material covering the toe box that's making the noise.

Purchased for £80 on offer, the best walking shoes I've ever bought. Truly waterproof, durable, comfortable (no blisters over long distances), a good fit and pretty grippy even on icy patches. Nothing much to look at but definitely worth it.
