CSL Creosote Sweeping Log, 1 Each

I started it but the log went out.I put on a duraflame log next to it and that helped it burn the rest but thats not how this is supposed to work. I shouldnt have to burn a different log to get this one to complete. I will look elsewhere for a cleaning log.To their benifit, it did come earlier than expected!

We rely solely on wood heat during the winter (for about 4 months a year). We use one of these monthly and combine it with a monthly chimney sweep. We've been doing this for about 9 years and my chimney is still looking good on the inside with very little build up. My father does the same thing with his chimney, except doesn't use these logs and the inside of his chimney doesn't look nearly as clean as mine does (of course his chimney is about 15 years older than mine so that probably has something to do with it, too).

It’s working but there’s an Smell. My suggestion is to do it during the day with the windows open

The directions say to not use this as the first fire of the season, so after a few fires I used this one. It seems to do the job. It does make some unusual smells (fumes) that you can smell outside, so I recommend using this in the mid-day while people are not home.

It did what I expected it to do

My husband said they worked wonders in preparing for chimney sweeping. The creosote fell off at the slightest touch--but we burned four logs, on after the other, not just one.

I realize you should still have your chimney professionally cleaned but this seemed to work well in burning off the gunk in the chimney and seemed to improve the air flow in the fireplace.
