The Aqua Pal Smart Water Valve provides 24/7 protection from water damage and leaks. It monitors water pressure, flow rate, and temperature and lets you set a threshold that will trigger an alarm or send a signal to your Smart Water Sensor to shutoff the water supply. The Aqua Pal is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring you get alerts and can monitor your water system in real-time. You can easily connect it to the Wasserstein App via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and monitor your water usage on the App dashboard. It comes with a 16.4-foot cable for more placement options and multple adapters to fit different sized water pipes. Monitor from multiple devices using the Wasserstein App. Review: 2.4 wifi - Love the device. Wish it would work with 5.0 wifi. Review: Yea the 3/4 inch diameter is a lie, bad dimensions, inaccurate manual. - The specification on desertcart and the manual booklet is very wrong. Let's break it down piece by piece, as someone who has done construction and spent the weekend installing this thing. The pipe adapters say they are for DN20 pipes (DN-Twenty), which is a metric pipe measurement that basically equated to 3/4 of an inch, 3/4 of an inch is a fairly common and standard pipe size for a water main in a house, so if you have 3/4 inch pex pipes get ready. This will also be important in a minute. The actual wide of the pipe adapter is a full 1-inch. So that was annoying as I had to go to Lowes and get a sharkbite adapter to downsize from 1-inch to 3/4 inch for PEX-A tubing that is standard in a lot of houses. The included adapter also uses a unique thread pattern on the machine you can't just connect an adapter to so you must use their included ones, however the part it shows in the manual to thread into a pipe with a 19mm Allen wrench not included (a tool virtually no one uses/needs or ever will again after this install). Thankfully the threaded insert for the pipe is a standard size so at Lowes you can find the right 1-inch to 3/4 inch adapter needed to make it work. Remember how I said DN20 is metric? Well in the US they use inches, which means even with the connector, the connector to adapter fit is not great even though it feels OK when hand tightening, which again only becomes an issue in houses with PSI 100+ on the water main. I suspect that is the underlying issue to the initial leak since I typically never have problems until I tried to install this thing. That causes the connector even with a ton of PVC tape to leak as there is a very tiny difference and the thread/diameter doesn't line up completely. I finally after lots of swearing got it to stop leaking by abusing the pvc tape, and still need to do it again with the tape and sealing dope (liquid pipe sealant) to stop the very slow leak.

Excellent
This is a lifesaver. A couple of years ago we lost our family summer house to a fire while it was unattended, and since rebuilding it my wife has been... well, let's say she'd taken a close interest in ensuring that we never again have to suffer the consequences of an unfortunate accident. The house is hooked up to every sensor and alarm you can imagine, all of them ready to blare out a warning on our phones the moment they detect something slightly amiss, but we were never happy with the water leak sensors we set up in the kitchen and bathroom. They're very simple, with short sensing cables that run along the floor beneath plumbing fixtures and can sense any moisture that begins to pool. They do the job, but they don't really offer the full coverage you want - i.e. they only let us know about a leak at the basins themselves, not at the pipes along the way. The Wasserstein leak detector is a piece of cake to set up. Took me about half an hour, and I'm a slow and methodical worker when I'm playing around with plumbing. It comes with a long power cord, and once it's installed and pair to the app you can forget about it. No alerts yet, thankfully, but we feel more comfortable now we have it in the house.

Lots of useful info & features, small package, questionable quality.
Pros: The meter takes up very little physical space and is really simple to install. The software has a decent user interface, it has lots of useful features, and it monitors a great range of water system details. Cons: The sensor in the device that monitors water pressure failed after 3 months of use, it now just displays 0 PSI constantly regardless of the actual water pressure in the system. Not a problem for my use case specifically since I'm only interested in the amount of water usage, however it doesn't instill much confidence in how long this thing might last considering one of its components has already stopped working after only a few months. Would have rated 4 or possibly 5 stars otherwise if this hadn't occurred.

This works great if you do not have a cut off near your home
This is the catโs meow if you do not have a cutoff close to the house. In my case, the cutoff is over 500 feet away. The water comes in through a crawl space and there is no place to a valve to turn off the water where it is accessible. I plan to install this in the crawl space and connect it to one of the electric lines running under there. You can connect by Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Connecting to Wi-Fi through the app which is easy to set up. It comes with adapters that convert the fittings to ยพโ NPT. I set it up to test it with a garden hose. It has manual controls on the top or you can work it with the app. It will help you determine if there is a leak and show you your usage and gallons per hour of use. It is not small but it is very handy to have and will be very useful. The only problem I had was with the power brick. I could not get power until I used a different power supply. That is a small thing but it is a thing.
