So far,,, Great Redcat 1/10th Ascent, 5hrs of mods and set up. Advertised as "waterproof" electronics, receiver isn't and it was mount behind the RF tire, now it's in the cab. 5mm body lift another 5mm in moving the shocks, no rubs now. ran a piece of bamboo to mount the antenna wire. Ready to Crawl!! Oh also installed a 10% underdrive in the transfer case for the rear axle,,,

My young kids have used and abused this thing, I’ve seen it roll off 6-7ft on to solid rock, only thing that ended up happening was a wheel cracked then I upgraded to some weighted metal ones but the plastic originals with the crack were still 100% functional. Mess around with shock mount locations and this thing hugs the rocks

Terrible design don't by this truck. Who ever the engineer behind this needs to find another line of work. 1st off the truck was delivered damaged 2 links rear and front stabilizer broken. 2nd the 2 rear shocks came bent because the link were broken so they were inoperable. 3rd to remove the front shocks you have to take apart the entire front end axels and all just to get to the lower front shock screw out. Take my word for it never buy this brand because this just makes no sense of having to dismantle things just to remove the shocks. If you don't take my word for GOOD LUCK. I'VE been supper busy so only now able to open the box and this crap i received is unreturnable due to the date. I am going to fix these parts just so I'm not out $300+ but ill never buy this brand again. No one should either.

absolutely the best RTR straight out of the box that I have ever purchased...lived it so much I bought a second one and recommended it to a buddy who also purchased one and loves it as wellm

I am an scx fan but when Redcat brought this out i was curious to try it and it was worth it. Its an LCG with the option to over drive the front axle with a quick gear change in the transmission. The stock tires aren't bad and it has the gen 9 portals. The only down side is the stiff shocks which is an easy fix with a spring swap. Well worth the $300

I’ll admit it’s a slippery slope with upgrades. I ended up doing a lot to this truck that I never thought I would when I bought it. Probably spent an extra hundred dollars with a brushless fusion se 1800kv motor/esc plus some weights. Being able to take the back off of the blue body is the key to avoid body the wheels rubbing the body. But man, this crawls as well as a $1000 custom built comp crawler. It outperforms the scx10 every time. I’m so impressed with this truck. You can always add things down the road. But the bones of the ascent are hard to beat. It’s just a good crawler. I have one full size crawler. This is it. It rocks. That’s all I can say.

Great truck but came with broken pan hard mount due to the way it’s packaged. But this is not a toy rc this is as close to comp crawler you can buy rtr or its brother the ascent fusion. As far as its capabilities are concerned its out crawls my heavily modified trx4 sport and both my axials right out of the box.
