Will the blade refills come out without breaking the case that holds the blades?

I have never had that problem happen and I’ve had many of these cases of razors

There's no battery, that's the blade part.

Are these Hydro 5 Sense blades the same as the Hydro 5 blades ?

It depends on the manufacturing DATE but most likely it is the same because of the new design. I got an 8 pack and It was the new design. Check in the store to be certain their stock is up to date. Sometimes new stock sits in the back waiting for older designs up front to be sold. Take a dead blade with you and compare. I’ve not yet had to buy replacements. I hope this helps.
