Great for a custom cutting board with Cricut
Used this for a DIY cutting board project, applying it over a stencil cut out with my Cricut and it worked really well—easy to spread evenly, and the burn came out clean and dark with good detail showing through from the stencil. No mess or weird bleeding outside the lines either. Dried and cured nicely, giving a nice permanent burned look without needing an actual wood burning tool. Great simple way to add designs to wood projects, would definitely recommend for anyone doing similar DIY crafts.

Works Perfectly with Stencils! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve had great results using this scorch paste with both silkscreen and mylar stencils. It applies smoothly, doesn’t bleed under the design, and gives a clean, professional finish once heat is applied. Definitely recommend it for anyone doing wood burning or craft projects with detailed stencils.I found no smell with the paste and the paste turns the wood a yellow color, so you know we're you have already added the paste.I've used the same bottle container of paste for the past 6 months. I little goes a very long way.

Works perfectly, starts darkening so you can see where you’ve coated
This is a thick paste that I found was easy to apply with a cheap foam brush. I made my spartan sign out of unfinished pallet wood and did not pretreat…I do think I sanded the wood but it wasn’t a very nice job. I used permanent vinyl for the stencil and due to its size (~3’ x 2.5’) i had to cut multiple stencils and try and align them. What I LOVE and wasn’t expecting, is the paste starts darkening on its own so you can see where you’ve put it down. I was very concerned with how it would work when I was trying to piece all the stencils together, but after seeing the sections I had done darken up, I was able to apply each section of the stencil separately and get seamless results. While I used a regular torch and it worked, I would recommend using and industrial heat gun (not the craft kind for around $20 they aren’t hot enough) because a regular torch tends to want to burn the unprotected wood around intricate designs like lettering.

Works great
I tried it on a bamboo cutting board & it works fabulously. Then I put the cutting board in the dishwasher just to test out how long the burn would last and so far it’s been in there for 6 washes & still looks good. I do say, though, that when I put the paste on, I put it on thicker than the depth of my vinyl stencil. It burned beautifully & when you run your fingers over it, you can feel the depth of the burn.
