Where is this made? usa or china?

We manufacture the F-Pulse in our El Paso, Texas factory. With today’s global supply chain, many electronic components have a worldwide supply base and cannot be guaranteed to be of 100% USA content. California law requires us to add the phase “from USA and imported parts” for our USA-made products, if even 0.0001% of the electronic components we buy original outside the USA.

Does this detect cobalt or titanium?

Yes. The Fisher F-Pulse detects all metals including cobalt and titanium.

how many inches above the soil is the metal detector able 2 pick up

When set up and used properly, the F-PULSE can easily detect coin-sized targets at depths of 3 to 4 inches below or above the soil.

Does it have the latest software upgrade?

They should have stood behind the first version and recalled them as they were lemmons. Now they are tuned down and false less but they also lost detection depth. They will all also will leak through the light port as they used a un servacable o-ring instead of molding the clear plastic for the light in.
