This is one of those purchases where I ask myself, “why didn’t I buy this sooner”. I’ve been wanting it ever since I started refinishing furniture and I’ve wanted one every single project I’ve refinished or built for the last 3 years or so. It’s such a comfortable sander to hold and the vibration is so much less than my mouse sander. The dust collection is superb. It’s so easy to do edges now and so much better for working with veneers. I didn’t think it was possible to get a good finish off of anything but hand sanding or a sander that rotates as well as orbits. This sander in fact, leaves a finish ready surface when I take the proper steps. Like everything else I’ve bought from Festool, this is high quality and damn near perfect. It’s light enough to be comfortable during vertical operations, I just can’t say enough about this sander. Don’t think about it, just buy it

Many years ago I worked as a carpenter and used professional tools, so opted to spend the money on this. I needed to refinish six dining room chairs and a table that were in a flood. Using this is effective and comfortable.

The dust collection is unreal—paired with a shop vac, there’s barely any mess, which keeps my workspace clean and my lungs happy. It’s quiet, smooth, and the variable speed lets me dial in the perfect setting for a flawless finish. The rectangular pad gets into edges and corners like a dream. Worth every penny for anyone serious about woodworking or finishing.

Wish I bought this before I purchased my Rotex sanders. I find this sander much more practical for everyday finish work.
