for budget speakers the sound quality is great. Very little distortion as long as you don't put your bass AND volume all the way up. The mounting was easy as there are multiple mounting holes to choose from.

Im not sure if it's due to the factory receiver in my car (14 fiesta with My Ford Touch, Premium audio w/o Sony) or the speakers themselves, but I feel like the busted paper speakers I replaced had more bass response.... The mids are outstanding and the vocals are clear at low to mid volume, but when you get much higher than conversation level DB the highs are sharp, like really unpleasantly sharp to where I've turned the treble almost all the way down to curb it. Maybe over time as they break in it'll improve but I was underwhelmed by them. They're priced reasonably and if you're running a decent receiver with EQ controls you might get a different experience, the vocals are very clear as I was lead to expect, just maybe too bright for me/my setup.

2015 Kia Forte LX base audio system. I installed these a few days ago and I am honestly over the moon with the improvement these have made to my vehicle sound! I haven't changed the head unit out yet but these new speakers are so much clearer and louder. Used to have to run it at max volume literally all the time but now right above the midpoint is loud enough. Bass is not a huge improvement but that's to be expected. New more powerful head unit should take care of that and I may do subs eventually...undecided. I just bought one set to do the fronts I will ABSOLUTELY be buying another set in the next few days or so to do the back set. I went with Crutchfield for speaker adapters and I got these installed in about 20 minutes - very straightforward! Will update this with any problems I have.

Wow, these coaxial speakers sound great for a cheap price. I paired these with a 50W per channel receiver, and they deliver without distortion at high volume.

First, I would like to thank the Audio Watt Store for sending their shipment asap! Now let’s get down to Business. It was exactly 25 years ago when I replaced my OEM speakers in my brand new car with the Kenwood KFC 1668S (140 watts/ 92db. Since it has been decades, I thought that possibly Kenwood now JVC Kenwood would have stepped up to the plate being that audio has changed in so many ways. When comparing the new with the old, the only thing that I can detect is the highs are a little clear but other than that, they’re the same speaker. Disappointed? I thought maybe the speaker would have evolved but hasn’t. Keep in mind, when dealing with a speaker of this caliber and size magnet you will not experience a lot of bass. Unless, you connect a subwoofer, or adjust the equalizer in your head unit. I would really like to know how these could be classified as 6 1/2 in speakers. The bass cone measures only 5 inches. I purchased a pair of 6 1/2 inch speakers from Pioneer, they did not fit so I don’t know why they classify these as 6 1/2, they’re not. It appears that if I want better sound, I would end up having to drill additional holes in my door panel, which I really have no interest in doing. I ordered the matching Kenwood KFC-69665S 400 Watt, 3 Way configuration, 6 x 9 speakers. I doubt there’s gonna be any significant difference compared to my former Kenwood KFC-6976 160 watt, 6 x 9 besides wattage.
