Creative and educational fun
I bought this kit because my granddaughter and I have been learning about the alarming decline in the insect population. It was nice to have something positive to do for the bees and butterflies, and they make great gifts. The kits are complete—you don’t have to buy anything else, it’s all in the box. Materials are sturdy, instructions are clear, and you can complete the entire project in one rainy afternoon. Highly recommend!

Small, but still fun to make.
Okay, so this thing was cheap and it’s crazy small, but it was still worth the money because of the fun my son and I had putting it together. It came with all the pieces needed, including the paint. Like I said, this thing is small, so I can’t imagine we’ll actually get any bees to hang out in it because they’re all fatter than everything on here, but maybe they’ll make it work? Either way, for my wannabe beekeeping child, this was a good purchase. I doubt it will survive more than a year or 2, but that’s okay! We can always get it again and design it differently based on his style changes.

Great Gift
I got this for my 11 year old great grandsons birthday. It was a hit of the party! He is anxious to get it built with the help of his older brothers, who immediately volunteered to help.

Needs an adult help for assembly
Ordered this for my son (age 7) to do together. He loved putting the materials inside. The assembly itself was too hard for him (using screws and a screw driver) and the wood began to split easily when I let him try. The house held up with ease when I took over. Assembly of the whole thing took less than an hour. It is very cute and we are Excited to see who will move in.

Great Gift!
We bought all three of our kids the bug hotel and they loved them! Easy to put together for ages 3-7. We now buy them for gifts for other kids!
