Can my child do this independently without help?

Most kids ages 5 and up sew their first purse independently using the included instructions. Younger children - even close to age 4 - can do it with a little guidance, and they pick it up fast.

How long does each purse take to make?

About 20-40 minutes depending on age and how much decorating they want to do. Most kids get so focused they don't want to stop.

Is this messy? Does it need glue?

No glue, no paint, no mess. Everything is sewn together with yarn and felt. Cleanup takes about 60 seconds.

Is this good for a birthday party activity?

It's one of our most popular party activities. The kit includes 6 individually wrapped purse projects, so each child makes their own. They work well as take-home favors too.

Is this a good gift for a 5/6/7/8-year-old?

Great for ages 4-8. Each purse is individually wrapped in gift-ready packaging. Grandparents especially love it as a meaningful, screen-free fun.
