I've been using the typical boom holder that has dominated the industry forever, but as someone who is recently stepping back into cinematography after about a decade off, I wanted to add some pieces to my kit that would allow me to travel a bit more lightly. Yes, I know that a standard boom holder isn't that heavy, but you know what is heavy? Grip heads and c-stands. So, after lots of internet searching, I came across this Neewer unit (along with another product that was about 5x the price). This folding Neewer boom holder (and a carbon fiber stand/boom pole) changed the game for me. I've gone from a 19-pound mic setup to about 3 pounds! Obviously there's still a time and place for my heavy equipment, but this new setup allowed me to put together a lightweight, compact system for smaller projects. And the Neewer boom holder is definitely a quality piece! A lot more metal than I was expecting, although I do wish the clamp knob was also made of metal. However, I have no regrets with this purchase. It does exactly what it says it does, gives plenty of adjustment (although a tad more wouldn't hurt) and has allowed me to completely forego using a heavy grip head unless absolutely necessary.

I’ve always just used the u holder for my mic but this thing is fantastic. I can easily adjust angle. Also, I used it to hold my boom vertical to capture some group singing. Great tool and way cheaper than it should be.

Works well, but overly long and complicated compared to standard mic boom holders.

I can't believe more people don't know about this, and that another company doesn't have anything to compete. No longer do you need to have a heavy grip head PLUS a fishing hook. This one part does it all, at a fraction of the weight. I use it weekly with absolutely no issues.

que buen diseño, muy funcional, muy practico, muy firme y muy bien construido realmente es bueno ese aparatico se adapta super bien a los soportes de luz y mantiene muy firme. lo mejor es que la altura de la caña del micrófono boom se puede graduar milimétricamente para colocarlo a la distanasia máxima posible del que esta hablando sin que lo tome la cámara. sus materiales son buenos metálico todo. solo tiene un recubrimiento en una parte con un plástico que es bastante suave y pegajoso por decirlo de alguna manera, para evitar que la caña del micrófono se deslice, eso es bueno, solo no se cuanto dure.

Como todo lo de la marca Neewer es EXCELENTE!! Este soporte para boompole permite ser utilizado en stands o trípodes simples de luces agilizando así poder su uso a la hora de grabar audios con micrófonos shotgun puestos en boompole

Like most Neewer products, they are great value for money. I'm really pleased with this item. Its made from aluminium and so it is light and strong. It fits perfectly onto my Neewer light stand (as advertised) - Highly recommend this product.

Decent quality. Works as well if not better than a Boom Buddy for half the price.

It screws finely onto a C stand and holds a boom pole on that stand. I don’t know what else to say. Had no problems with it using it with a Neewer C stand.
