Q: How do I remove the dirt from the inside of this spray bottle?

It's a little deep on the inside and I always let him soak in the water for a while and then rinse vigorously so it's clean.

Q: Mine came with a black plastic piece that seems to serve no purpose and there are no instructions. What is it??

If you look at it closely it has arrows on it in up/down direction it snaps under the trigger to prevent accidental spraying. I threw it away
