Prehistoric worker placement game.
This is a great game, very straightforward and quite accessible for a wide age group, definitely suitable for families with older children. The majority of the components don't require you to read details which I know is a plus for some people. As far as the gameplay goes it's relatively easy to grasp, you have a starting number of villagers (this number can increase) and you can assign villagers to perform tasks, this includes hunting, gaining building materials, increasing farm size, adding village members, building structures and completing activity cards. As you complete tasks and make buildings you get victory points and the person, after the end game effects occur, with the most points is the winner. The components are of a high quality overall, including: resources made of shaped wood (food & tool tokens are made of card), the buildings and cards are of decent quality with nice artwork, the villagers are shaped so are unique for the game, player boards are clear and suitable to use, 1st player marker (looks odd to me personally but is a nice touch), a leather dice shaker with wooden dice (14mm in size) and the game board is really nice looking too. It's worth noting that each turn you're required to feed your villagers, which I know is a pain for some people, but this is only a issue early on so how you control your resources is important. I'm aware that the price, depending on where you buy, is a little off putting but I've really enjoyed this game and I believe this is a good family game that can be used to play games with people who rarely boardgame.

Fabulous Game
Delivery time was longer than expected but the game was in perfect condition and we love playing it, ages 6 up are enjoying it. so far we have played every day! Very well designed game for the family. Keeps you interested and engaged. Highly reccomend it. Price on amazon was better than high street. The pieces in this game are nicely designed and large for small hands. Play time is short around ten minutes. We have added in our own twist where when the build coin is turned over instead of just switching two coins as per the rules we reshuffle all coins so no one has an idea where the build coin is. Love this game, will get adult version at some stage.

Great game.
This is a great game that is much simpler to play than it first appears. I taught it to 3 other gamers recently and after a couple of turns had full knowledge of what they were doing, what did what and so on. I've yet to try it with cildren, but I don't see to many issues with it their either. Good fun and a brilliant way to fill a hour or so.

A neat game that is good for family gaming
This game is very well made, wooden resources, high quality board, etc. It took us about 90mins to play with three players (one aged 7). The game is well balnced and you are never quite sure who is going to win until final points counting at the end. The resource building is good fun and no one is "out" or obviously losing. Also good with 2 players.

Love this game!
Great game... The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the instructions could be written a little clearer. There is no mention of whether or not resources can be used in the same round in which they are acquired (though I'm assuming yes). Get it, you won't regret it!

Loved it, saw it, bought it
Probably one of the best worker placement games since Lords of waterdeep, great with 2-4 players the numbers don't take away. very easy to teach and I love that the civ cards can make your opponent think about their next moves very quickly!

Great game for kids
Great game for kids. Ours are a few months shy of 5 years old and understood the game after one go. They love it!

Great family game!
Purchased this for grandchildren ages 7 and 9. Even the 4 year-old could play if teamed up with grandma or grandpa. We enjoyed multiple games over the Christmas holidays. Games last 15-30 minutes with no one getting bored. Players can learn strategy for acquiring the items necessary to build a settlement. There is also a memory game component. Fun for kids and adults!

great game, lots of fun and a perfect start to worker placement games
our family plays board games often and as our son gets a bit older 11 years old now, we have been looking for different styles of games to play. We bought this game as our first delve into worker placements games. The rules are easy to learn. There is enough strategy for experienced board gamers to enjoy while also being something kids can play and enjoy. The artwork is great, and all the pieces are well made. Quality is excellent for the price and totally worth it. 100% recommend

Engaging and Fun
Great purchase! Fun game to play with my grandson. It has just enough complexity to make it engaging and fun for my five year-old. The game are short - 15-20 minutes - and fun for the adults, too. Well constructed, nice wooden pieces, great artwork. A happy find.

Simple to learn, fun to play, good strategy for all
I got this game during the pandemic to add a little spice to an otherwise fairly repetitive "friends night in" game night. We were used to Catan and Monopoly, and this was a great addition. It's a fairly simple worker placement game where you got to balance your priorities between gathering food, growing your population, collecting materials, building structures, and researching technologies. At the start of the game, you have a fairly small population, but by the end, each person has a tribe with its own set of unique strengths. I personally go for the farming method if the "build a farm" area is not too crowded to save me from catching food later. My brother may go for the "love hut" method to get a lot of people quickly. Whereas another friend goes for hoarding resources and tools so he can build the best buildings. It's insanely gratifying to build up your civilization into something even better each turn. It can also be nerve-racking if you're really low on food and you need your people in the forest to catch a certain amount of food and you're not sure if they can do it. The dice rolling dynamic puts in a good amount of randomness to balance out an otherwise purely strategy-based game. I like how the game doesn't play out as competitive. Though there is a winner at the end of each game, as we go through we get so invested in helping each other and making our own tribes that it feels like more of a collaborative game. Excellent game and it's set to go on for just the right amount of time usually about 60-90 minutes for a three-person group.
