What a great suprise!
Took a chance on this title as I had not read the authors previous work and am so glad I did. I found it an interesting and well written story and am really excited to read the rest of the trilogy, Manic and Panic. The story revolves around a young girl Rook who is thrown into the world of erotic modelling. Despite a dubious upbringing she is a feisty and courageous heroine, not one to wallow in a pity party. A refreshing change from the usual heroines who mope about in most current NA reads.Through modelling she meets Ronin, super hot male model himself and the chemistry and romance between them flourishes. The fact that he spoke in French was such a plus! The accent I heard in my head was swoon worthy.I found the plot moved along quickly and I really got inside Rooks head. Her actions and behaviours were true and believable. The side characters of Elise and Antoine were also added depth to the story.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sexy, hot romance and will definitely be reading the rest of the trilogy and other titles by the author.

Erotic & Steamy - A Must Read for NA Fans
I'm a massive fan of New Adult novels and I'd seen Tragic around quite a bit, so I decided that I was going to pick it up.I was hooked straight away. I was drawn in by Rook's situation and I wanted to know what she was going to do and what was going to happen to her.I've never read a book about modelling before, so I was really intrigued by that. The modelling, however, was erotic modelling - which means that the shoots are extremely sexual, but tasteful.Rook has been through a hell of a lot in her nineteen years. Her mother was a crack addict and she been shifted from foster home to foster home, never finding a real family. And then her ex came along and Rook thought she was getting her happy ending, until he beat her. So Rook ran away. She was homeless and jobless when the opportunity to model hit her on the head (literally). I was so happy for Rook when she got this chance. I had my fingers crossed for her because I really wanted to see her happy. She's such a strong, independent character. She does have trust issues - but she's allowed to after what happened to her - but I just really connected with her character. I wanted something good for her.Enter Ronin. Ronin is cocky, slightly controlling, sweet, sexy and just bloody amazing! I fell in love with his charcter straight away. Ronin had had a tough past as well, but he and his family are in a good place now. Ronin took an instant liking to Rook and I was impatiently waiting for them to just get together already!Even though they got together after like 5-6 days I didn't really care. Their scenes together were sizzling with heat and they just had so much chemistry it was unbelievable. The modelling scenes between Rook and Ronin for the TRAGIC shoot were so sexy. Seriously, there was one scene when they were modelling that Ronin almost gave Rook and orgasm. It was so steamy! They were always having to make out and undress each other. And their attraction to each other just grew and grew.I really loved that we got the dual narrative in this book. I loved hearing from both Rook and Ronin and hearing how they both felt about each other and what they were thinking.I'm SO excited for the second book Manic which should be coming out in August this year!If you're a fan of New Adult and are looking for some new recommendations, I definitely recommend reading Tragic. It's such an amazing, quick read that you'll easily fall in love with.

So different from other 'love stories' - I love it!!!
I absolutely loved this book and from the first page it had me hooked!! There are 3 books and this is the first one about the relationship between Rook and Ronin. What I loved about it is that it is so different from other 'love stories' which is very refreshing. I loved the way they are instantly attracted to each other but not in a corny way and it is all very believable. There is such a lot of humour in it too as well as a darker side so I felt this book had everything in it I was looking for. It is set in the modelling world but it is about erotic modelling which gives it more of an edge and Rook is on the run from her ex Jon after she has been abused by him for many years. She has had no luck since leaving him until she accidentally gets a chance to model for the company that Ronin, his sister Elise and her partner Antoine own and from then on her luck changes. It is such a quirky story and with lots of things going on with different characters. I would love to have another book about Ford and Spencer as they are both very complex people in their own way. I'm off to read book 2 now, 'Manic' which I'm sure will be just as good!

Enjoyed it
I didn't know what to expect from this story, so I was pleasantly surprised with how much I actually enjoyed it. Once I began reading, I couldn't put this book down until I'd finished it. It was written well and the storyline was interesting. It was a bit different and not at all predictable. I liked the characters as well. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Addictive reading
I downloaded this book last year while it was free but like so many books I just never got round to reading it, last night I was looking at a book I was considering reading until I checked the reviews, there was just one pointing out it was a cliffhanger book, I hate these I really do there's nothing worse than reaching the end of a book for it just to finish, leaving you hanging, anyway I clicked that liked the review and left a comment thanking the reviewer for the warning and checked out her other reviews and noticed we had a lot of books in common then I noticed her review of Tragic so I thought I'd give it a go.I loved this book Rook is spot on as a character, she's sweet but strong and damaged I just love her and Ronin well what can I say I'm female and breathing so I love him. I just can't get enough, this book truly is addictive and having just finished it I'm at a loss as to why I didn't read it earlier, all I can think of is the cover. Having read the book I understand the significance of the cover, the cherries and the cherry blossom but looking at it before I actually read it the cover did nothing for me at all, I had I not found that review last night I probably would never have read it, which would have been a real shame since I enjoyed it so much.I'm off to download the second book now.
