It’s fairly comfy and it’s a perfect size for what I needed. I had the same conundrum as a lot of people with the opening up of this thing. You have to pull out the part where your legs would go first, which is tucked up under the folded part. Then push on bar on back part and it just pops up. Without removing the “leg” part first, it won’t go down far enough to click up into place. Voila! Good product for the money. I wouldn’t use this as an everyday couch but it works great for a reading nook for my 8 yr old daughter.

some of the existing reviews for this product already warn about this product being unable lock in place in the upright position, and I heavily regret not heeding their warnings and still buying this anyway. as one review already mentioned, the locking mechanisms seem almost installed backwards, with the back support portion curling inward on itself and locking in place, instead of the other way around. this means the "sofa" configuration's back support leans forward and droops downward, and you're never able to have a completely straight back support (unless you clamp it straight with something else you bought). the pictures on this product page show the back support being completely straight while unsupported, this is false advertising: the product in person will absolutely not support a straight back support by itself like the product pictures show. the padding is closer to 3 inches thick than 4 inches, works ok for relaxing but for $140 ($155 after tax) and deceptive marketing, this sofa bed is nothing special.update: Carol from the seller directly reached out to me 3 days after my initial review asking what could be done to resolve my dissatisfaction. Carol's help was quick, responsive, polite, non-combative, and greatly appreciated. fairly impressive customer service deserves to bump up the overall rating up to 4 stars (product itself originally 2 stars). my original review of the product itself still stands, and hopefully this product gets vastly improved, but customer service was/is very good.

The sofa itself is comfortable enough to use but nothing special. However, it is much smaller than expected, won't seat more than 2 adults, as a bed, just one adult or 2 kids. The biggest issue I have with it is that the backrest does not stay up. It won't lock in position when I fold it up. But it locks in position folding downward. It seems almost like the mechanism is backwards if that is even possible. To use it as a couch, I have to hold the backrest up with the pillows so it doesn't lock forward and keep it against the wall. Solid 3 stars.. don't recommend. I just bought this because I live alone in my state and don't have anyone to help me carry full sized furniture around. I can see how it would be good as a gaming chair (if their couch locks properly) as others mentioned. A little hard for sleeping, would recommend a mattress topper.

Like most of the reviews i should have listened. I got this little floor couch for daughter room for her and her friends to sot on and hang out. The back of the couch doesn’t go straight so you cant even have a comfy couch to sit on or lay on as a flat mattress. It doesnt unzip either so you cant even try to fix it to straighten out. Dont waste you money and dont but this.

Good quality and it has a ton of features so it's great for a kids area.

This was a very comfortable piece but the back support broke on day 2, so perhaps a defective item was shipped. We have started a return.

Just barely outside the return date the ratcheting arm broke so now it has no backrest, but the customer support was very fast and friendly and offered replacement to fix the issue
