Outdoor timer works great to turn my pond fountain on and off as scheduled

I use these with some outdoor lights that I have in specific areas around my yard that I want to come on at certain times. The function works perfect perfectly, and it is held great in Florida weather with all of the rain.

Easy to use

This electrical timer will work great outdoors for lights. It doesn't work for what I bought this for, which is for a golf cart charger. My golf cart charger automatically turns off when full charged. You have to unplug it from power for it to turn back on so I bought this for that purpose, to turn the power off and then come back on. It does that but for some reason the charger does not start working. I have to literally unplug it from the golf cart and then plug it back into the golf cart for the charger to start working. I tried a different timer and it does the same thing, so it must have something to do with the golf cart charging system. It works great for lights so I still give it a 5 star. It is easy to use and is well made and is water proof. If you are looking for an outside electrical timer, then I can recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

This worked perfectly. It was the only outdoor waterproof timer with a straight plug instead of a sideways plug. The straight plug would work with any outdoor outlet. It is easy to setup as long as you read the directions. It kept up with the accurate time for turning on my Christmas lights. Very happy with this product.

I already had a 2 outlet timer of this type, but my 3 outlet one was a light detection one, so I could not sync all of the Christmas lights on the outside of the house. With this one, I can set them all to come on and turn of at the same time. This has little plastic pins at 15 minute intervals, and a dial to set present time. Turn the dial to set the correct time, push the pins down for the times you want lights to be on, pins up for when you want lights off. Plug it into an outdoor 3-prong outlet, plug light strings into the 3 outlets, and you are good to go. I used these for lights around the roof-line, and made sure there was a drip-loop before the plug ins, so rain and melting snow will not get into the outlet. It has worked great for over a month, even with over a foot of snow on the ground, preceded by rain and other rounds of snow. Comes on and goes off at precise times indicated. My other timer I have used for 3 seasons, with no trouble at all. Easy to use, set it and forget it. Just don't forget to unplug it at the end of the Christmas season, because it will keep on turning them on and off forever!

Plug the timer into an outlet. Plug whatever you want to be timed into the timer. If there is an on/off switch on the thing you are timing, make sure it is turned on. Let's pretend the "thing" is a light. Find the little back and forth switch below the wheel. The icon that looks kind of like a clock engages the timer function, the other icon opposite the clock (whatever it is supposed to be) is the override that disengages the timer (it turns on or off the the light you are trying to time manually). I find it is easier to set the timer in the override position. There are 48 black tabs on the circumference of the wheel. Every other tab is numbered with a whole hour time (light background is daytime and the black is nighttime). Push IN the tabs (away from you) for the hours and half hours you want the light you are timing ON. Tabs that are not pushed in will turn the light off. This is called programming. With the light plugged into the timer and the timer plugged into an outlet, spin the wheel to see if it turns on and off where you programed it. If all is good, turn the wheel until it points to the current time of day (it should be on or off depending on the program). Now switch the little back and forth switch to the clock and you are all set. You should hear a slight winding noise when it's set right, if it is kind of loud there is something wrong and the timer wheel won't move. It is possible the tabs could also be reversed (in is off and out is on) but I haven't tested that. My timer is finally working the way I wrote it out and it saved me from throwing it in the trash. I spent 30 minutes of my time doing what should have been done by the people selling this thing because technology isn't as obvious as should.

Funciona perfecto. Al principio tuve que buscar en internet cómo se prendía, pensé q tenía quizás un interruptor on/off o algo por el estilo. Pero no, simplemente programas los momentos que quieras que se active y ya, lo enchufas y listo. Tiene un pequeño interruptor en el frente que lo que hace es que: para un lado queda establecido para que se active cuando lo hayas programado, y para el otro lado lo vas a encender en ese momento. Tiene 2 palitos por cada hora (48 opciones de prendido). Con la uña o un desarmador levantas el palito que quieras activar y ya está, lo enchufas y listo. No te olvides de ajustar la hora ni bien lo enchufes para ya dejarlo sincronizado.
