5/5 Stars – Excellent Affordable Relief for Corneal Edema I’ve been dealing with occasional corneal edema and was looking for a more affordable alternative to the big brand name sodium chloride 5% ointment. After trying WELMATE Eye Ointment (3 Tubes), I’m genuinely impressed. This ointment works exactly as described. The 5% sodium chloride provides noticeable relief from the swelling and discomfort in my eyes. Within 30–60 minutes of applying it before bed, I wake up with significantly less blurry vision and eye tightness. It’s become a staple in my nighttime routine. What I like most: Same active ingredient and strength as the expensive brands Feels soothing and moisturizing thanks to the lanolin and mineral oil base Surprisingly non-greasy compared to other eye ointments I’ve tried (doesn’t leave my eyelids too sticky) Comes with three full tubes, which is great value and very convenient Sterile and easy to apply — a small 1/4 inch ribbon inside the lower lid is all you need I follow the instructions (usually at bedtime and sometimes once during the day if needed) and it consistently helps manage my symptoms. No irritation or burning, which is a big plus for such a sensitive area. If you’re looking for a high-quality, budget-friendly sodium chloride 5% eye ointment, I highly recommend WELMATE. It is already the 2nd time I check it to check it to send it to my grandmother who suffers from dry eyes and discomfort due to an allergy and this intention suited her well. Its effects are good because it relieves her very well after a week of use. The price is affordable, I get super fast, well protected and well celled.

Prior to buying this ointment, I bought the Genteal and Systane brand ointments. They were good but I still would wake up at night with eye pain from my eyelid sticking to my eyeball. My eyes have been incredibly dry since my PRK surgery a couple months ago. This ointment blows them both out of the water. The moisture lasts the duration of the night and my eyes wake up actually still feeling moisturized. It’s even better when they are still a little blurry, meaning that the ointment is still there and sealing my eye. All you need in the morning are liquid drops to clear out the blur. I also only need one treatment of this before I go to bed. The other ointments do not last this long and were not as effective, as I’d have to wake up and apply them again during the night to avoid pain from my eyelids sticking. This is the best eye ointment, hands down!

I am a daily user of muro 128 ointment. I’ve tried lots of alternative brands over the years and was never happy. I gave this brand a try and went through two tubes before I wrote the review. Overall I like it. It’s still a bit different from muro for texture, but it’s the closest I’ve tried. The texture is more like a cream similar to muro. It keeps my eyes moist through most of the night. I’ve had to reapply occasionally. Good price.

I have been using Muro 128 ointment for years and it is very expensive and I was hesitant to try any other products although the ingredients were the same as Muro 128. After doing more research of Welmate eye ointment, I decided to give it a try and I am very satisfied and more over it is very reasonable cost. Works great as Muro 128 and I will purchase again!

I recently had upper eyelid surgery (for medical not cosmetic reasons) & needed to use ophthalmic ointment for a full week after. I till need to apply the ointment for 2 more days & every day I have seen & felt an improvement. I apply this 3-4 times a day, following each warm water compress I need to do in order to keep the eyelid skin moist & from drying out. It might only be a 1/8 oz tube but the ointment "melts" into the surgical area it's applied to & you don't need much. The 1/8 oz tube holds a lot more than I thought it would. As the area has been healing, I was developing "itchies" in the stitch area. Ugh! Drove me up the wall. As soon as I applied it, ahhh, relief. The tube has a tapered nozzle making it easy to apply even in smaller areas. The tube is easy to open it. Just pull the cap off & when you put the cap back on, lightly press the top & you'll feel it click in place. It's not greasy & doesn't feel heavy on my lids. I tapped each application along the stitches using my fingertip & I am still able to wear my eye glasses afterwards. I needed this for my eyes to heal properly & to keep the surrounding & included skin healthy. It has covered all the requirements my doctor had directed me to do for follow-up.

I'm glad I found this very expensive the muro I've been having this issue for 15-20 years it runs in the family and don't worry and normally it doesn't go away even after surgery it's not fun I have one of the the back there's three different kinds of cornea erosion I have the worst kind and my mom has it too but not the worst kind oh my gosh it's pink it's been hell

If you have recurrent corneal erosion (RCE), this is the only thing that prevents the morning agony.... I use it every night and wake up fine!
