Which specific ingredient works for irritability and mood swings?

As my chiropractor explained to me, Pamabrom is a diuretic which helps relieve water retention and the associated painful swelling. Pyrilamine Maleate is an antihistamine which helps to reduce pain and inflammation. And of course, there is also acetominophen (a pain reliever) in this product. My understanding is that the relief of those various symptoms (swelling and pain) are what help to reduce irritability and mood swings. In other words, there is not a mood-altering ingredient per se in Pamprin; it's just the fact that you feel better from a pain standpoint, and thus your mood is better. I hope it the product helps you like it has me!

On the bottle label itself, the ingredients: blue 2, candellia wax, ethylparaben, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, pregelatinized starc, propylparaben, red 40, sodium starch glycolate, talc titanium dioxide (309-044) are also listed.

Their website says it is gluten free. My mom has celiac disease and has taken it for years without issue. Other people say they experience gluten related symptoms from it but I suppose it depends on you sensitivity especially if the container was open by another person who had gluten residue on their hands ie a friend who asked for some.
