Jessem is not cheap. These are high quality tools. Easy to use and work well. I built an outdoor chair and used 90% dowels using this jig. Too expensive for a once and done project. But worth if you plan use often or on few expensive projects

From watching many YouTube woodworking videos it seemed the Festool Domino was a requirement for my woodworking journey. This isn't a Domino, but it quickly made me realize a Domino isn't necessary. This tool makes it incredibly simple to align multiple dowels, even in a grid pattern. The result, when combined with glue, is exceptionally strong joinery without any visible fasteners. The quality of the tool is exceptional and the wall mount bracket to hold all of the pieces is a nice inclusion. Pocket hole joinery is a little faster. With just a little more effort though, the outcome with this doweling jig quite a bit nicer. My only gripe, and it has nothing to do with this jig, is finding dowels that are the appropriate diameter in packs larger than can be found at the big box stores. A number of Amazon listings sell metric dowels that are passed off as imperial. They end up being undersized and unusable. Other bulk dowels I've found are slightly too large to the point they can't be hammered in. I've found myself drilling holes with the jig, then if needed, enlarging the holes with a bit 1/64" larger to allow the dowels to be tapped into the holes. Again, this isn't the jigs fault, just a trick to make dowel joinery a little easier.

Made very well, it didn’t come with any directions and how to set up. Watched some videos and figured it out. I think there is a cheaper option through Milscraft

This is an expensive item, but it is more accurate, stable, and satisfying to use than any other dowelling jig that I have tried. Setup is straightforward. Not ruining pieces and having to redo them certainly saves time and expensive wood.

The new stainless is very nice, I was able to easily connect the parts to a project that I working on (edge to face joints). It's pretty thick metal, I wasn't getting even a hint of flex as I clamped the jig down. The wall mount is sturdy and holds three sizes in place. I briefly had the bigger brother Jessem dowel jig. I think that one is a little easier to adjust and it's definitely beefier. I definitely prefer having all three sizes and the option of a 45 angle plate. One thing to keep in mind. This product does not include the drills or the 45degree angle. I haven't seen them on Amazon, so I ordered direct from JessEm. The pictures on the JessEm website show all the options, but the text clearly states what is included.

They seem to flex a bit. Not really as stiff as I’d like. I dropped one accidentally and it messed up the teeth and alignment marks. I couldn’t get it adjusted back. Doesn’t seem very durable.

This is an awesome and versatile tool. I have used mine multiple times for adding dowels to glue ups to add strength. It works as well as advertised and I like it better than my self-centering dowel drill jig.

This was a great addition to my shot. I build cabinets and shelving. These really helped me step up my game and are easy to use. Came with a good holder to hang everything. Love this tool and brand.
