I needed a lightweight waterproof alternative to ammo cans.They are definitely darn near indestructible. However, they're likely not water tight. They lock seal tight two rubber surfaces however, not in a sense such as you might consider a gasket. It's rather, simply where the rubber liner meets.I don't plan on ever submerging ever, for any reason, so as long as they keep out general moisture I can always seal them for transport.

Arrived as described, can put two boxes of 25 side by side and lock. Compact and does not take up a lot of room in the suitcase.
