Choosing between the Olight Warrior 3 or Warrior 3 Mini
If you are unsure of which model to get, the answer is both (probably) but read on to find out why.The differences between these two flashlights are battery size, overall size, and maximum brightness. Olight uses proprietary batteries in their flashlights. This is to enable their magnetic charging, but means that you can't just swap another battery into it. Generally it's not a problem because these flashlights have plenty of juice to last for many weeks of normal use. If you need extended run times I'd buy a flashlight like the nightcore e4k and some extra 21700 batteries. These can even be used with a ledlenser powerbank so that you always have 165 days worth of moonlight. For normal usage these two olight models are fantastic and have the added advantage over other models of two switches. So you might be wondering which of the two to get. Well here's the deal. The Warrior 3s is going to give you longer run times of up to 55 days. It will give you a brighter light and longer throw. It is longer, heavier, and thicker in the pocket. I currently carry the Nitecore e4k which is also a 21700 powered light and it is noticable but not too troublesome in the winter when I have bigger pants and jackets to carry it in. I like to have a fill size light in winter time because there are more hours of darkness and it's easier to use the controls on a bigger light with gloves on.In summer time when I have shorts and a tshirt I don't carry a full size light. I often carry a baton mini or a rovyvon keychain light like the A3x. These lights are lightweight but they do run out of juice fasted than I like. The Warrior 3 mini has enough juice to last me quite sometime and is small and light enough to work for EDC. My Nitecore is now going into my medpack just in case I need more brightness or extra run times. You might be wondering if the warrior series lights are bright enough. The answer to that is in most situations I believe so. My E4k puts out a max of 4400 lumens, I have never needed to use the light at that level of brightness. Usually 1000 lumens is plenty of light and often I find myself happily using moonlight mode or maybe 100-250 lumens if I am on a walk or on an outdoor chore.Having more lumens would be better for the strobe setting but I have never used a strobe light defensively nor heard tales of anyone successfully averting an attack with a strobe light so I am going to say that it's not worth considering much. What makes olight the winner is their interface. Press and hold the olight sideswitch for moonlight. Click the side switch to turn on at your last setting. Half click the tail switch to enter high and fully click to enter turbo. I will now be carrying a warrior 3 mini every day and a baton 3 as a backup light. I think the Warrior 3s is a good option but the proprietary battery is less than ideal in a large tactical light for me.Is it a perfect light? Well no. I prefer a warmer tone for the light. This is a cooler temperature, peobably around 5,000k. It is not a high CRI emitter ehich means that the light it emits isn't beautiful. I would love to just have an extra battery or be able to throw in 2 cr123as in an emergency. Every light has to make compromises but all of thr compromises this light makes result in an absolutely wonderful lightweight, long lasting, bright edc flashlight.

My go to flashlight!
My go to flashlight! I bought the blue one and it's a beautiful color and high quality. My only complaint is I can't tell if it's charging. I plug it in and put the magnet connector on it but the light is always green and not red. So I don't know if the battery is just really long lasting or what. I'm assuming it's still charging when it's green though because the battery hasn't really gotten that low yet. Other than that it's a great flashlight. Very bright, with 3 different light setting on the side button and 1 very bright settting for short bursts on the bottom button and another for a flashing light setting. The magnet is nice to have so you can stick it on thingswhile using the light. Olight is my favorite brand for flashlights. Definitely recommend this flashlight.

Awesome
Great every day carry light. Good for about anything you could need a light for. I carry it on low which gives me quick access to moonlight press and hold or direct access to low and rear switch gives direct access to medium or turbo mode. Perfect size and battery life. Hope this helps with your decision.

Never knew I needed so many features
This thing has a lot of features that I probably cannot keep up with. But for the features I do remember, I appreciate them a lot. It's so easily to switch between three level of lights just by which buttons are used and how I press them. It makes it so quick to get to the mode that I need immediately. It's so bright and whenever I use it, I often get curious questions about it and led to some associates getting one for themselves too. The magnetic base is not only convenient for its charger but also for sticking it onto surfaces to act as a spotlight for any work you need to do with two hands. I love its versatility and power.

Well made but Sofrin sp31 v3 does the same thing for half the price.
Just like it says. The Warrior Mini has a nice hot spot with decent throw and brightness for its size. However, the Sofrin Sp31 v3 is also is a regulated 18650 light, with 2000 lumens, a tir lens, a tail switch, a more useable moon mode, and much less expensive. The Sofrin is also usb c rechargeable and take any 18650 cell. The brightness across the modes are pretty much identical aside from moon mode .5lm (Olight) vs 1lm (Sofrin) which I find preferable. I also notice less green tint on the Sofrin on lower modes. The Sofrin also holds turbo for longer and does not get as hot. Imo the Sofrin is the better buy unless you really want fancy colors.
