This review is for the 2 pack 8x10” 1mm thick copper plate The copper plates arrived well packaged with no dents, dings, major scratches or bends. Plus the seller has film covering on both sides of the plate to help protect them. All nicely done. A big plus for me was the plate sizes were a true 8x10” - amazing how often the size cited is not exactly what you get; but in this case it was. The 1mm thickness (roughly 18 gauge) is somewhat stiff to work with; but still easy enough to form for various applications. In my case I needed some copper sheet to make custom heatsinks for TO-220 power mosfets. The 1mm size was recommended as a suitable thickness for this task and the large 8x10” plates gave me plenty of material to work with. One of my key requirements was for the plates to be very flat – no warping or other defects. These plates arrived so true that I couldn't see light under them from one side to the other while laying on my counter top – excellent! To keep the flat aspect I used my metal cutting band saw to make the individual pieces. A cutoff wheel in a right angle grinder was my second choice. Using tin snips was not an option due to the curving of the material as it's cut. The copper plate cut very clean and required only light sanding wheel touch-up to remove burrs. I did the one 90 degree bend holding the copper piece in a vise and then holding a hardwood block against the side of the copper to fold it over squarely. Drilling the TO-220 mounting hole was a breeze and I then used the tin snips to make the small triangular bit which provides a “stop” to keep the heatsink from rotating when attached to the power mosfet. The picture shows a formed heatsink plate and one with the bga heatsink attached. While all the cutting, forming, and drilling took some time; the whole process went better than I expected because the material was stiff enough for the handling/machining and it's condition was exactly what I needed. It may take me a while to use up both of these plates but I'll definitely come back to this seller for when it's time to get more! Absolutely fully satisfied with this product.

Someone told me these work great in fish tanks. Sure enough, the algae quit growing. It was so nice!!! BUT!!! I have guppies!! Guppies have live babies! My guppies DID NOT reproduce the whole time the copper was in there. A month after removal , one tank has babies. I have high hopes for the other tanks.

Packaging and material quality is excellent but size is a bit off. Each piece was smaller than 6” by 1/8” to 3/16” off in both directions. Some tolerance is to be expected, but other sellers have consistently delivered perfect 6”x6” or tolerance is over the dimensions, which I prefer. For the price this is still an amazing value and the cheapest I’ve found in years. If you don’t need perfect dimensions don’t hesitate to order.

The strips came well packaged and delivered on time. Looks and feels pure copper. Don’t have means to test the purity but the color and strength feels similar to pure copper. I only needed one for the job having 3 extra doesn’t hurt.
