Dayton Audio TCP115-4 4" Treated Paper Cone Midbass Woofer 4 Ohm

10 stars if possible. Sounds amazing, looks good and the excursion is incredible just like I imagined from the photos. Took a ton of modification to fit my factory mid-bass baskets, but worth every second of struggle. The lower woofers aren't delivered yet, but I'm putting Dayton's in there too. The price is more than fair for the quality of sound. They hit the mid's perfectly and try hard for the lows. The magnet is massive and does a great job. Material is ultra premium all the way around. I cannot stop tuning my EQ now. The sound is so full and clear, granted my OEM speakers were toasted, they definitely didn't sound this good new. They are not hi-note speakers at all, they fill the gap between the lower woofer and the wimpy tweeter. But the clarity of the instrumental sounds is crystal clear and performance is better than a dedicated 4" speaker in every way. They handle solid power, but they're only getting 100w from my factory "Bose Premium Audio" at 4ohm which is probably perfect for them. Definitely solder the connections- clips and taped-up wires come loose in doors. I reused the oem baskets and connectors and soldered the new wires in so it is a true plug and play connection. Lots of hot glue helps seal the sound from rattles. Prefect addition to my Audi.

Just what I needed to replace a blown soundbar woofer. They have great excursion for a tiny midbass subwoofer. They work great with the diaphragms I had laying around. I am running two in series to meet the 8 ohm requirements of my soundbar. These will help complete my outdoor theater under my gazebo. Items came well packaged.

This little guy as is with no enclosure just to see what it does is impressive. Definitely can be paired with a good tweeter in a 2-way configuration since the tones in the mid and treble region is very smooth and undistorted unless pushed a little too hard. Plenty of excursion for an upcoming Bluetooth Ammo Can speaker project I've been working on for a while, may as well use this, a fitting tweeter, ported and tuned to around 43 Hz. I'll probably end up getting more of these little 4" woofers in the future because I have never seen a driver of this size move this much!

Built for a stereo Bluetooth speaker I made . I added a subwoofer crossover. And bought 2 tweeters. With 2 other mid drivers. Add a Bluetooth amp and boom box pleasures to be had. And a good price. Looks the part.
