If you want a file folder that can truly expand then you don't want this as it's a fixed size. The compartments can expand within that fixed size. You'd need an elastic latch to have it expand. In hindsight it would have been better to get the one with 7 compartments instead of 13. Having said all this, it functions fine and looks great on the shelf.

I got this through vine— and likely wouldn’t have risked $30 for a file folder with plenty of cheaper alternatives. BUT… if the listed features meet your needs you won’t be disappointed.This is as sleek as an accordion folder can feel while being fully functional. I gifted it to my mom to classify my dad’s medical paperwork. She noted she’s impressed by how compact it is for the slot count. The magnetic closure is a necessary feature considering the price.On a personal note, I appreciate that an otherwise-crude, usually-floppy organization tool can be made well in this case. Mundane tasks feel just a liiiittle less crappy. xD

Looks nice, easy to take with you in a computer bag or briefcase. Perfect size for my most important papers. I don't mind the color. It's got a great magnetic closer that keeps paper nice and organized. Comes with labels and a great value overall. I will order more.

This is so beautiful! It's very nicely constructed and has labels included. I love the way it looks, it's very calming and peaceful to my eyes. It will hold many papers and documents securely, just don't burden it with great weight or you will damage it. It's not meant to be stuffed. If you enjoy office supplies I recommend this, especially if you love this "look."

The bottom sinks in for some reason. Not sure why it isn't solid there. This is wrapped in black paper apparently and it arrived ripped there where the cardboard sinks in. Bad design. It doesn't stretch open as far as hoped. It doesn't hold a much as good either. I figured I could sort my business documents into this. It barely held 4 client contacts in one compartment. That's only while the others were hardly full. I can't see this being a useful as anticipated because you'll have to balance out how much can be put in each compartment to close it. Not worth it, especially if it rips and looks ugly so fast.
