Children of the Sea, Vol. 4 (4) Paperback – December 21, 2010

I LOVE this series. It gives the 'manga' vibe without being really kiddish and silly how most other manga is. This is the fourth book in the series, and it is just as good as the first. All of the books are really beautiful, and for someone who appreciates art (I'm an art student) they're really just amazing. The illustrations are on the realistic side of the 'manga' style, and there are none of those little 'chibi' faces floating around, or silly `sound effects'. everything is beautiful and flows. Not to mention the story is just phenomenal. It's so mysterious and fantastical without being unrealistic. The author really did his research about the Philippine Islands and their beliefs before writing this story. I even looked up some of the information stated simply because I was interested, and it is all accurately depicted in the books, which just makes you believe it more. I love these books so much. One of my all time favorite series. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

The fourth book in the "Children of the Sea" series doesn't disappoint. Daisuke Igarashi provides us with another artistic masterpiece. The story is engrossing and well told. The art is beautiful and practically leaps off the pages. Anyone who is a fan of manga would be remiss not to have this book, and entire series for that matter, in their collection.

This is a great, original, creative, beautiful series. All three of my boys and I loved it.

More fascinating backstory to events and some smaller mysteries brought to light. The artwork only continues to improve and communicate what can't be put to words.

Beautifully drawn in a rough, yet sophisticated style. A complex story hidden under the surface of a calm sea. Definitely worth a few re-reads.

Absolutely love this series! There is so much to this manga, it’s a rich deep dive for those who enjoy so much more than mere surface level stories! This series deserves its own anime, the movie although beautiful was simply not enough to convey so much importance. Everyone’s role plays such an important part, they are all so intertwined. Definitely my new top fav, very special indeed. Anglade is definitely my fav character, I find the way he thinks very similar to my own.
