Versapak Charger

The original B&D single cell charger that came with my electric screwdriver never worked well. The electric connection with the battery was poor, it seldom resulted in a complete charge, and it was difficult to tell if it was operating or not. This charger completely charges two batteries at a time, makes firm electrical connections, shows a red light for each cell while charging, shuts off and shows a green light for each cell when completely charged. I have not owned it long enough to rate it's longevity, and since it is charger (not a battery), it's not responsible for "battery life".

It works! I have a Black and Decker VersaPak drill and screwdriver. The original company evidently stopped making supplies for these. Something had failed, it was not working so I needed replacement components. I ordered this charger and new batteries. It works! Charger very quickly charged both new and old batteries and my drill is now working again. Very pleased to have this item back in service. I wish the new charger had come with a product guide or sticker on the bottom. There are no issues with this item. It works and charges even my older batteries. Only thing that would have been nice is for a document explains the light status.

Happy man, Happy life! We have just moved into a new home and couldn't find our old charger in any of the moving boxes and my husband needed his Versa tools for new installs and projects. He kept saying "we'll find it" and it just didn't show up, so I ordered the new one. It was delivered so quickly and works like a charm!! Screw drivers and flash lights and a light sweeper all work now and life is good! The charger is worth every penny and the Versa battery is quickly charged.

I purchased this charger to charge new batteries for my old Black & Decker Versapack Screwdriver. I really like the indicating lights for the neat dual style for charging two batteries at the same time. The flashing red indicates that they are charging and the solid green shows they are fully charged . Simple and sweet !! You can even charge one battery in this nicely styled and compact charger. Good charger at a good price. It was very beneficial in bring an old faithful screwdriver back to life. Thank you PowerGiant!!

I replaced my old Black & Decker battery charger and ordered spare batteries. The charger is a state of the art device. The charger has visible indicators to tell you when the charging cycle is complete. The new batteries were recharged before use in the old dark green vacuum cleaner. No problem and the vacuum cleaner did great job of picking up small particles. One of the old batteries would not accept a full charge. I remove the battery from the charger and let the battery rest for a while before putting the battery back on charge. I achieved a full charge.

Was purchased to replace a Black and Decker charger that I lost some time ago. Found some tools that require this type battery but did not have a charger to charge them with. This was an excellent choice at an excellent price.

Worked well on my NiMH batteries, but not so well on the older NiCads - could be that they are just beyond hope. That the NiMHs charged fully pleased me, given that they are a discontinued product. I can finally use my Black & Decker drill & dremel again!
