Danny Jones is a man of God. I know that Danny would agree with me. Danny’s wonderful love of God permeates the pages of his book; God’s Way.Danny’s life was a mess. You didn’t need to be a Christian to see that. Sucked into a life of avarice, Danny lived only for himself. But God wanted Danny for something better and when God speaks, you better damn well listen.I don’t know what Danny means when he says that God speaks to him; but I believe him. Who am I to deny Danny’s reality?God’s Way takes us on a journey. Danny’s journey. Danny learnt to listen and rediscover how to pray. And it is through prayer that Danny found his way; God’s Way.I am not a Christian. My parents were atheists and I took on their ideas. They were good people, I understand why they had rejected God; my mother and her sisters suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of their, very evangelical, father. My own father rejected God after he fought in the trenches, in the mud and slime of World War One. But growing up I became interested in God and people who had a strong faith. I took on Catholicism. Years later I rejected Catholicism. These days I am sort of between agnosticism and atheism; but I have respect, absolute respect for Christians like Danny.So what am I saying here? I think what I’m clumsily trying to say is that you don’t need to be a Christian to read and be inspired by Danny’s book. I actually think it’s an incredible book.God’s Way. You will never, ever forget it.
