At long last, I have found a well-designed travel pillow that is actually fit for purpose.In my mind, I have always imagined that an effective travel pillow should function more or less like a neck brace to prevent the head from dropping / tilting too far right, left or forward whilst sleeping in the sitting position.After having viewed and dismissed many variants, this one caught my immediate attention as it appears similar to my vision of an ideal travel pillow. The shape appears to be ergonomically contoured for the shoulders and back of the neck, while both sides are also tall enough to support the head and prevent it from tilting.On inspection and test, I am truly amazed that it delivers all the benefits as advertised. So far I have used this whilst sitting on my sofa and on the bed watching TV for a few hours. It is extremely comfortable, the functional contour provides the correct fit and support as intended. The memory foam is firm yet soft enough to rest against, both the adjustable velcro and the rubberised back prevent the unit from movement. Although the cover material is manmade, it actually feels surprisingly pleasant on my bare skin.I have no doubt that this neck pillow would be perfect for travelling in all forms of transportation regardless of the seat location. It is also light weight and can be easily compressed down to 1/4 size in the supplied bag.My only negative criticism is the zipper pull because there are 2 very sharp metal prongs that can easily cause injury and may damage my furniture / clothing. I will most likely have to remove the pull and use a safely pin when the cover needs to be removed for laundering.Overall I am really impressed by the quality and function, the way it has been thoughtfully designed has eliminated all the common issues found in other variants on the market. Although relatively expensive, this neck pillow represents great value and really do stand out from the crowd. Highly recommended!!___________________UPDATE: I have used this for long haul flights and long distance car journeys, it did not disappoint. Because my head was supported in a comfortable upright position, I was able to quickly fall asleep and stay asleep.

This is not only the best travel pillow I've ever had, but the company has excellent customer service as well. Me and my wife purchased two Travelrest Nest pillows for our 4 month backpacking trip in Thailand. We used our pillows on long distance and short distance flights, on trains, buses and ferries and it did not disappoint. The pillow is just firm enough to keep your head in position but not too firm to hurt your neck. And the flat back makes it really perfect for flight seats. The shape and the design of the pillow is in such way that it keeps your head from falling to the side or falling forward and the memory foam shapes to your neck. After we returned home from our trip, one of the pillows had ripped in the back so I emailed the company. Within 24 hours, the co-founder of the company got back to me and offered to replace our pillow for free. A couple of days later we had a brand new pillow arrive at our house. Absolutely amazing!I highly recommend buying the Travelrest Nest pillow because not only are you getting an excellent product, but you are also dealing with a honest and trustworthy company that truly cares about their product and their customers.

Pillow is light and has a nice soft feel. It gives good support but as with lots of pillows does push my head forward when in use. This should improve overtime as I expect the memory foam will mold to me. I am a terrible sleeper on a flight but managed some decent rest on a flight from Canada on the first use. Definitely recommend though for those long journies on a plane.

I wanted to wait to write my review until I had the chance to use it on a long flight. I used it on a 9 hour flight and it was incredible. I always have difficulty sleeping on the plane but this pillow ensured I was able to comfortably sleep and had no neckaches. You may find it tricky to use with overhead headphones but I think it can work, as I did. Just have to work out an angle but otherwise this pillow deserves the good reviews it has.It comes with a small pouch to put your pillow in but I didn't want to squish it so I just used a normal carry on bag. My husband is 6 foot and I am 5'2 and we both have normal necks and it was great for both of us. When I tried it at home I didn't enjoy it but on the plane it worked!

Only after a few uses the case is falling apart, very disappointing as the pillow is so comfortable.Item is covered under warranty, which I assumed I could get a replacement but was offered a refund and told to repurchase the item which has now gone up £14.. not at all happy!

I bought one of these for a recent trip involving 4 flights of 8 hours+ and loved it so much that I bought one for my husband. It fits snugly around the neck, providing excellent support. The best part of the design is the flat, thinner back - when your seat is reclined it allows you to put your head back in comfort without feeling that your neck is sticking forward. The material is soft and comfortable. I have only used it 4 times so have no idea what durability is like, but I will only use it when flying so I imagine it will last me several years as I don't usually fly above 12 times per year..

Out of all of the travel pillows I have tried (and there were probably at least 6 or 7) this is by far the best I have ever used. I can actually sleep right through a flight without any aching or stiffness in my neck and my chin never falls forward causing breathing to be interrupted. I am normally a side sleeper, but because this pillow completely cradles my head and allows my throat to be free, I can sleep sitting straight in the plane seat, and boy is that appreciated!If you still have problems with sleeping on flights you should really try this one - I've had it for over a year and it has helped me reach my destination in much better condition that I had before - Travelrest works :)

I was really looking forward to using this travel pillow for my transatlantic flight, but unfortunately, it didn’t even last the entire journey. After just six hours of use, one of the seams split open, exposing the inner filling (see attached photos).While the pillow itself is soft and comfortable, the poor stitching makes it essentially useless after one trip. For the price, I expected much better durability. Definitely not worth it unless you’re looking for a single-use travel pillow.

I bought this prior to embarking on a 14 hour flight and was able to fall asleep without worrying I would wake up with a crick neck. So glad I purchased this item - very happy result.

OMG I LOVE this pillow! I travel quite a bit but had not invested in one of these pillows and after purchasing this pillow I regret not purchasing one earlier. I recently went to Puerto Rico, from California, and decided to get one because I knew that the flight was going to be a LONG one so I wanted to make sure I made it as comfortable as I could.Prior to buying this pillow I looked up many of these pillows and their rating to see which one would be better suited for me. For this particular pillow I remember people said it was quite big and hard for a pillow but didn't really go much into any other details. I read some of the product details and some of the positive reviews and I decided to give it a try. BEST DECISION EVER! Yes the pillow is "hard" but it's a memory foam! Memory foam isn't intended to be soft and squishy but adjust and mold to your body. If you think about it, why would you want a flimsy pillow that will not hold your head up? If that's the case then why bother making a purchase.This pillow is very different from the pillow beads. I personally don't find those comfortable. The straps the pillow has a pretty useless when using them because the pillow wraps around your head pretty well. The only use I found for them was when I tied it to my carry on while I was off the plane.This pillow is perfect for traveling and I would DEFINITELY recommend to my fellow travelers. I promise you, you wont regret making the purchase.
