Purchased to save my induction hob from spills and mess. I have a very sensitive hob the smallest of splashes and it shuts down!Helps stop the annoying shut downThe saucepans do not slip.Keeps the surface clean to a degree (it is a mesh so stuff will seep through).Easy to cleanFits perfectly

This will definitely stop scuffs and scratches and the pans don't slide like they can on the glass top. Also it cooks well through the protector and you can see the heat levels through the mesh. It also gives me a useful workspace when not using the hob.Unfortunately the mesh does let spills through so it won't cut down the cleaning much. Also being a mesh makes it more difficult to clean and dry than a smooth protector would be.All in all I'd recommend a protector but go for a non mesh protector in future.

Works exactly as described

For reference; my induction hob is atop my BEKO BD16C65K cooker, and this mat cost me £35.71.I bought this for the advertised translucency and nearly sent it back upon discovering that it blocks maybe 80% of light, so although technically translucent, there's no practical benefit allowing the subtle markings etched on my cooker's hob to be visible through it.If your hob has very high contrast markings and you have very bright lights in your kitchen, or if the markings are actually emitting light, you might be able to see something through it.Why this matters; induction hobs and cookware should be well matched and aligned for good results. A small pan on a large ring, a large pan on a small ring or any pan not properly aligned with any ring is not ideal, so seeing the ring markings on the hob is desirable.I searched for more translucent, or preferably transparent options and found none before getting tired of scrolling through pages of the things, so kept this as it functions no differently to the non-translucent options. I solved the problem of not being able to see where the rings are, by cutting the mat such that a segment of each of the rings' edge is echoed by the mat, while maintaining as much protection for the hob glass as practically possible (see image).With other functionality in mind:1) it does give real protection to the hob glass and seems to have no effect on the efficiency of the hob, so that's great.2) the touch controls of my hob can be operated through the mat, and the segmented LED display is actually just about visible, although I can't see the etched markings for the buttons around the LED display, so that's really not helpful, so I cut that section out (see image).3) it's very grippy, which keeps pans practically glued in place, but also grabs and holds onto every tiny spec of dust floating near it. It can be wiped with a damp cloth to keep it reasonably clear, but let it air dry, since wiping it with a dry towel will render it practically furry! A thorough cleaning is easy with dish soap and water but air drying is essential to avoid the fur.4) it arrived folded and vacuum packed, so I doubt the kinks will ever fully disappear. It does however lie flat enough (not perfectly) to forgive that. Other orders may be packed differently.Summary: unless (as mentioned above) your hob has very bright markings, I would suggest ignoring the translucency aspect of this mat, and therefore maybe find a cheaper non-translucent alternative that will do the same job in all other respects.

This product is poor for its price. Very hard to keep clean and you have to lift it for induction hob to switch on and adjust. Better as a door mat!

I tried this as my new induction hob continuously shuts down when cooking when you move the pan, I hate it by the way😩, so at this stage I was willing to try anything. To say I’m impressed is an understatement, it’s brilliant in that I actually enjoyed cooking which I haven’t since having it installed. Get the right size and you don’t even notice that it’s there. Would highly recommend it.

I'm happy with this protector mat but have nothing to compare with. It seems expensive for what it is. You need good eyesight to be able to see through it. I can very faintly see the light of the hob ring for positioning, which is enough for me. It does include stickers but I didn't want to use these for appearance reasons. I lift up the edge to access the controls. This is convenient. It is a textured surface and does attract dust etc but I find it easy to wipe clean.

Love the protection and the staying clean of cooktop

Lässt sich sehr leicht auflegen und haftet gut. Ob das Gargut schneller gar wird, kann ich (ohne Zeitmessung) nicht beurteilen.Für mich war vor allem wichtig, dass die Herdoberfläche geschützt wird und sauber bleibt.Bin äußerst zufrieden.

J’ai du le découper parce que ma plaque a la hotte intégrée, mais j’apprécie l’utilitéPlus peut des rayures.Le nettoyage est certes un peu contraignant dans le sens où il faut soit nettoyer le tapis et la plaque mais sinon c’est top.

Die Pfannen und Töpfe rutschen nicht mehr beim Rühren, das Kochfeld wird geschützt und ist leicht zu reinigen.Sehr empfehlenswert für jeden Induktionkochfeld, erspart euch Kratzer oder Risse.

Je l’utilise pour protéger ma plaque à induction, des salissures quotidiennes, et cela me permet de gagner en surface de plan de travail, je ne crains plus les rayures et les chocs. Je suis ravie de cet achat.
