The stove has only been used on its own, but i will be reviewing the "in tent" experience soon. As for the unit itself, the build is clean and free from sharp edges with plenty of visibility inside to ensure a flame is maintained. The chimney is polished steel and capped with a spark arrest to minimize hot embers from landing on the tent roof. The accessories included are a heavy-duty carrying bag, gloves, fire floor mat, and stoker. Overall a nice little unit.1-7-24 update:The "In tent" use of this stove was excellent. Cooking surface was sufficient to allow for multiple pots. Zero issues with smoke leakage in the tent. The only minor issue was the fire map (provided) still allowed for the ground underneath to reach high temps. Not a big issue since most hot tents do not have a "floor" but rather bare ground.

Easy set up, easy packing away. Was well built and worked like a charm. I had bought it to put in my hot tent and it worked great, did everything I needed it to and cooked on top no problem.

I've yet to test it out but already have a couple of concerns. First it didn't come with the stove jack. So that's not good. Second it appears that the end cap section of chimney pipe was used. It has soot and Ash in it already. Some other sections look questionable so I'm not sure if this entire thing was used or not. That gives me concern If this thing is gonna leak smoke or not.Other than that it's a neat little stove. It sets up quick and seems light.

I have been looking for a top-notch hot tent stove for years and this Dandelion shell stove is right there! I have used woodstoves for years, in remote cabins and my own house. This Dandelion shell has all of the amenities I would look for in a tent woodstove. There are three critical elements, air intake, air injection and exhaust through the flue. The Dandelion shell stove gives you all of those. You can control the air intake and damper on the flue. Th side of the stove has slits for air-injection for complete combustion above the glass one the side.I performed a test burn in my yard, not in a tent. I put in wood I might use to kindle a fire and it burned for nearly 30 minutes! I put a stove thermometer on the stove - (not included in the kit but it would be nice if it was). It recorded that I reached the "burn temp" of 400ºF in 15 minutes. It  produced heat for over an hour, much longer than the same amount of wood in an open fire.The kit comes with a carry bag, all of the accessories fit inside including the stove pipe, removable top plate for cooking, bottom grate, leather gloves, and top plate/fire poker.If you need a portable winter woodstove, you can't go wrong with the Dandelion shell stove.

This thing is awesome and is extremely well-made. I intend on using it in a yurt that I have and it's going to be awesome because it is perfect for it. I was very surprised at how well made it was for something so compact.
