This spicy soybean snack is sooooooo good, 8 pieces for $10. Tasty and almost meaty. Pretty spicy so get milk or something sweet when you eat this. Also be careful when opening the sachets because there is some red oil inside, don’t get your carpet or blankets dirty! I found something similar at my local Asian store at 30 pieces for $9 tho so I will be buying from there.

These have a more numbing spicy taste, with a slighty fermented, slightly fishy, and sweet flavor. The texture is exactly what you'd imagine, it's like a lovely chewy, dense, and bready sponge texture. The smell can be overwhelming once you open a package, but the packages contain only a few bite sized pieces so you don't have to keep them around for very long. The price is alright for these if you're just looking to try a variety of flavors and styles.

Bought this for my wife. She was super excited to see these. Box contained a lot of her favorite snacks from growing up in China in the 90s. She has been kind enough to share a bite or two with me (but not much more, she REALLY likes them), and what I’ve had tasted good. Treats have a range of spiciness, so there’s something for everybody. Box they came in was nice too.

It was ok but the smell was to strong for me but it taste was still good an a bit oily for my like.

Great taste

The smell is very similar to cat urine to be honest. And it lingers each package is like a stink bomb theres a reason the box comes taped l. I gave it a try but was on the verge of vomiting. This must be the kind of snack you grow up with because I don’t see the appeal.

My husband and I were shocked how good these are. We went from snacking on them to adding it as a side that we eat with our meal.
