I have tried other dog specific toothbrushes but this one is by far the most effective. The small brush is ideal for my small dog and reaches her back teeth effectively and she tolerates it well. She loves the poultry toothpaste, would munch it from the tube given the chance! Time will tell if it combats plaque build up but it makes brushing her teeth easy.

I bought some other doggy toothpaste but it was roundly disliked. This however is more akin to a treat. I bought the pack because of the toothbrush and the little finger applicator. The applicator is far too big for my fingers so I haven't used it. The toothbrush was a small end is really quite good. But my little rescue dog, Dotti, doesn't like it. We persevered for a month or so but it was a faff, and she wasn't building up a tolerance for having it done. So I have gone back to putting on the toothpaste on her teeth with my fingers. This seems to work well, and her gum inflammation and smelly breath have both reduced. Every evening now she comes and asks to have her teeth cleaned, because afterwards I give her a Kong with her favourite treats (Antos toothbrushes) and a winalot shape stuffed in. If I do it right it can take her half an hour to get the treat out. Hopefully chewing against the Kong will also improve her gum health. Photo of Dotti asking for a treat. My cat loves trying to eat the (chicken flavoured 🤢 😂) toothpaste! The fact he likes the taste definitely helps in the trickier aspect of getting the toothbrush in his mouth...

Small end is just small enough for adult cats, large end about the size needed to sweep a floor! Seriously unless you own a horse dont buy. Toothpaste works, can already notice a difference in my ragdolls back teeth but the brush is too big and extremely soft at the cat end and the big end....see above!

Comes with doggy tooth paste and a tooth brush small and larger head depending on dogs size and a finger brush - which is very small i couldnt get it on any finger fully, dogs loved the tooth paste but hated the brush 😀 still at the rubbing the tooth paste on the gums stage, not sure how effective this will be for reference x2 dogs Pom Chi & Shih Tzu. Good value was much more in pets at home

I mean I guess it’s working - I brush my pups teeth every other day and he seems to enjoy the taste of this paste. I got him used to it by giving him tiny bit to lick off my finger before using finger brush. But he’s a mini wiener so finger brush was a bit too big. To my surprise he didn’t mind the brush at all. Start slowly if it’s your first time and let your dog get used to the taste little by little, I make a game out of it.

(Please see an update at the end of my review.) I’ve used CET Virbac Toothpaste in the poultry flavor for more than a decade. I’ve never had a cat that didn’t love this flavor. It works well and makes toothbrushing much more tolerable for cats like mine who are used to having their teeth brushed. CET Virbac is a brand that many vets sell and recommend to clients, which is why I first started using its toothpaste and toothbrushes with my own cats. I would have a very hard time brushing their teeth without the help of this toothpaste! I have never liked silicone finger brushes, or any brush with silicone bristles, so I have no use for the finger toothbrush that’s included in this kit. The dual-head toothbrush in the kit, on the other hand, is one of my favorites for my cats’ teeth. I only use the smaller, compact side of the toothbrush for my cats’ little mouths. It’s very soft and has a low-profile that allows it to fit in the small space between a cat’s cheek and gums. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet found what I would call a ‘perfect’ cat toothbrush, and I think I’ve tried almost everything. Right now, I’m using two different toothbrushes on each of my cats to get the job done, this brush and the Nyanko Mind Up Cat Toothbrush, also sold on Amazon, which is quite tiny and allows me to get to areas in their mouths that I can’t quite reach with the CET Virbac brush. I’d tell anyone who might ask that brushing a pet’s teeth regularly really is worth the effort (for me it is, anyway). I would not recommend brushing an adult pet’s teeth without first having its mouth checked by a vet, though. Brushing could cause pain or even do some damage if there’s an existing dental issue. So please first check with your vet and get the go ahead before you start brushing. You can also get some great tips from your vet to make toothbrushing work for both you and your pet. Nobody has to get hurt, including the person doing the brushing! After checking with your vet, I think you’ll find CET Virbac products incredibly useful like I have for so many years. 🐱 Update: After writing my review I opened a recent purchase of one of these toothbrush and toothpaste kits. At a glance, everything looks identical. Sadly, the toothbrush has changed. The new toothbrush's bristles aren't as soft. I found the bristles to be a little too firm for my cat's mouth. So although I continue to use CET Virbac's poultry flavor toothpaste, I've stopped using the toothbrush that comes with this kit. I still use the Nyanko Mind Up Cat toothbrushes I mentioned in my original review, but I've replaced CET Virbac toothbrushes with Colgate Kids My First Toothbrush for babies 0-2 years. The bristles are soft and can be softened even more by soaking the head of the toothbrush for 30 seconds in a cup of hot water. CET Virbac, please go back to using the same soft bristles in your dual-head toothbrush that your customers loved!

En lo general, al no tener una perra grande y que este acostumbrada a que le limpien los dientes, se me hizo muy facil y creo que el sabor de la pasta es un factor muy importante. Me dio un poco de trabajo manejar el cepillo de dientes, sobretodo la parte que tiene la cabeza grande pero tambien viene con una cabeza mas pequeña. Tambien otro cepillo que te puedes poner en el dedo y creo que es mas facil de manejar cuando tienes perros inquietos.

I was not expecting much from this product, but after brushing my cat’s teeth with it I noticed her breath improved almost immediately. Over time I also saw less tartar and plaque buildup on her teeth. She even seemed a little happier and more comfortable, though that might just be me imagining it. It does take some patience to get a cat used to the brushing process, but the fact that the toothpaste is flavored helps a lot since she actually seems to enjoy the taste. Overall, it turned out to be far more effective than I expected and has made a noticeable difference in my cat’s dental health.
