Elegant design, useful features
This incense burner arrived quickly and intact with secure packaging. There are quite a few reasons to choose this one over other options. 1) Detachable power cord. This makes the cord replacable -- though the OEM cord is not the common standard analog temperature dial w/ LEDs and has a digital readout, so it might be harder to find. (Note the picture in the product listing shows a different coord without the LED display.) Why is a detachable cord preferable? I had another electric burner where the cord failed. Because the cord wasn't replaceable, I had to get a new burner. Having a detachable cord theoretically extends the life of the unit. 2) Digital temperature and time control. You can set the time in increments, from 1/2 hour all the way to 12 hours. The digital temperature gauge lets you vary the heat level for different types of incense, resin, oud bakhoor, wood chips, incense powder, herbs, leaves, or essential oils. The instructions are in Chinese and useless, but on the product description page here, there is a picture showing recommended temps for different kinds of things you can burn in the burner. Rule of thumb is the denser the material, the hotter the temp needs to be. I set resin to 300 (celsius) which got hot enough to melt frankincense, myrrh. dragon's blood and copal resins. For a powdered blend, 100-120 is sufficient. Oud Bakhoor heats up nice at 120-150. Note that resin in general needs a longer burn time to fully melt. The 300c setting is a little bit hotter than the analog dial version, which sometimes left bigger chunks of resin not fully melted. (Pro tips: when using resin, don't overpack the incense tray. Spread it out as evenly as possible but don't stack it too high. You need to leave room between the tray and the lid for oxygen to circulate. With powder, make sure you cover the entire tray surface with 2 to 3mm worth of powedered incense. With wood chips like palo santo, medium=high heat and a longer running time will extract the best results. For oud bakhoor, use the spoon to mash it down after setting it in the tray. ) 3) Auto shut-off. This is a great safety feature which means you don't have to monitor the time and manually turn the unit off. The interior light and the LED display on the dial will both shut off when the maximum time is reached. 4) Additional safety features. There is a physical on/off switch on the burner itself in addition to the detachable cord and auto shut-off. When the unit is turned on, a LED lights up inside the burner, and the timer and temperature can be set. You have to click the on/off switch and the button on the cord to turn the unit on. If tyhe on/off switch is set to off, the unit will not turn on. The heating element is also fully enclosed, reducing fire hazard. 5) Quality/finish. The unit is aesthetically attractive and perfectly goes with Arabian/Moroccan decor. It appears to be well made with some advanced features that set it apart from similar electric burners. It's ceramic and heat-resistant. There is a lattice grid on the outside which is purely for aesthetic purposes since the interior where the burner is and where you put the resin cup is enclosed. The ceramic top has ventilation holes. The glaze seems even and looks beautiful. The dark color is preferred because on a burner with a lighter color, over time it will collect a layer of resinated gunk with regular use. That gunk will be more noticable with a light colored burner. There is also a LED light that lights up when the unit is turned on. It's not very bright in lumens, but bright enough for its purpose and very subtle. The internal LED highlights the latticework grid and adds to both the aesthetic style and safety features when using it in dim or dark conditions. 6) Functionality. Even though I couldn't read the instructions, this unit's operation is fairly simple. There's a dial on the power cord to set the temp with an LED readout and a button that toggles the time settings. It's readable in any lighting conditions. And a physical on/off switch on the unit. The heating element fires up quickly, though YMMV depending on what you're burning. Resin needs to be heated at higher temperatures and takes longer to melt down. Thick clumps of resin will take longer than smaller pieces, which melt more evenly. Using an Indian resin blend, it took maybe 5-10 minutes for the aroma to kick in, although I didn't time it precisely. Once you've dialed in the appropriate settings for the scent you're burning, you can just kick back and chill. Overall, this is a high-functioning unit with a small footprint that combines modern touches with a traditional aesthetic. 6) Wide mouth incense shelf. the physical opening where you put the incense or resin is wider than most. Theoretically you could find a wider cup/tray than standard size, which would allow the material to be burned to be spread more evenly over the heating element. The tray it comes with is standard size, but there is more room for it inside which aids airflow. I don't recommend using the unit without the tray as it will need to be cleaned more frequently, and you run the risk of accumulating burned residue which may be difficult to remove, especially if you let it build up. I put aluminum foil over the tray which means less cleaning and easy removal. Overall, this is the best electric incense burner I've ever used. it's simple to use, works great, and looks stylish. I had another unit that did not have auto shut-off or a timer, just a temperature setting, and one that did not have a detachable cord. This burner solves both those issues and looks elegant to boot. Looking forward to using this with a variety of frangrant sources. I took a picture of the recommended temperature settings with my phone for easy reference. It's great to be able to fire this unit up and use the various resins, oud bakoors, wood chips and powders I already had for my other burner which no longer works. The reason to get an electric burner over a traditional censer is because you don't need charcoal which is a PITA and raises concerns for me about extraneous fumes. Also, this electric burner has a longer burn time than anything else oout there, including coils which can be delicate and fiddly. When using sticks, the standard sized ones burn for about 30-45 minutes, depending on wind/airflow. The jumbo ones can burn for up to about 90 minutes. Sticks in general can produce a fair amount of smoke as they burn, depending on air circulation. That's part of the aesthetic and appeal, especially for ritual practices, but it also means a higher chance of directly inhaling noxious fumes. Also, stick incense burns the wood stick the incense is wrapped around. This unit avoids that so all you get is pure aroma. With electric burners, there's a higher degree of efficiency as they burn more evenly and consistently over a longer time period over other methods. They are generally safer as there is no exposed charicole. Also, electric burners are less messy than incense sticks which tend to leave ash particles everywhere. Unlike stick incense, these don't produce a lot of visible smoke. And they can be used with a wide variety of fragrants -- even dried Eucalyptus or Sage leaves, wood chips and essential oils. I've used incense sticks, coils, cones, ropes, powders with charcoal, sage smudges, palo santo wood sticks, etc. An electric burner is by far the most efficient method. This one in particular is extremely versatile as it can even be used for essential oils. Because of the added safety features, you could use this right before going to bed, as an aromatherapy sleep aid, without worrying about a fire hazard. It's small enough to be somewhat portable, although if i were going to use it for travel, I'd want a padded case for it. I didn't see any evidence of this unit emanating anything anywhere other than out of the top, as one reviewer complained. The design with its latticework suggests otherwise, but the shelf inside is fully enclosed. Any vapor or heat can only be released in one direction - up. I probably wouldn't put this on an expensive engineered wood floor, which is probably more user error than design flaw. It's footprint is small enough for counter or tabletop or shelf use. Accessories: It comes with a small spoon for powders, mini-tongs that look like tweezers for bakhoor, a stainless steel tray, and the detachable cord which has the control buttons and LED readout. The price was reasonable for what you get, costing the same or less as similar burners with standard, non-edetachable cords. and manual temperature dials. This is a slight step up in quality/functionality. Very happy with my purchase.

Such a beautiful heater! Works quickly and accurately!
UPDATE: I initiated an exchange and the new product seems to have the plug tightly bonded. It’s possible that my device was just defective. The seller also reached out to me very quickly and said to contact them if there are any further issues, which was much appreciated! I’m actually very pleased with this heater.. not only does it look beautiful, but it works very well! Heats up extremely quickly, and is very easy to use. I don’t know what the other reviewer was complaining about with the lack of instructions. It’s a pretty basic device.. change the heat to the temperature you desire for your resins or incense powder, and set the automatic timer for your desired amount of time. Not much else to it lol.. if you are curious about what temperature certain resins heat best at there is a plethora of information online for this. This is definitely worth the cost if you want to heat your resins/powders quickly and accurately!

Not bad
Works well enough, I did go have to find a video online for how to use it, including instructions and the temp ranges for the different types of incense and such would have been helpful. This said simulated flames for mine, it lights up at the base, but there is no simulated flame thing happening that I can see, but that doesn't entirely bother me. Has worked better with my resin and waxes, it does work with powder incense, but not as well as burning it. Would be good as a low smoke option, but this does still smoke.

I love this
I love this incense burner. I cannot burn traditional incense sticks in my office because I don’t want my computers getting nasty inside. So I used an oil diffuser for a long while. But the I don’t enjoy the smells of oils like I do incense. So this past week, I bought some resin incense in scents like copal, amber, frankincense. (Got that on Amazon too.) and this ceramic electric incense burner. The results are making me very happy. The resin smells so nice and there’s no plume of smoke. The electric burner seems to work perfectly at the temps suggested in the description for the different types/styles of incense. Also the ceramic piece is painted very pretty. I’m glad I bought this. I recommend it.

No instructions render this burner completely useless to me
I recently purchased the ISSNW Ceramic Holder Electric Incense Burner, and while I absolutely love the design and the concept, I have to admit I'm a bit frustrated. The burner itself is gorgeous—truly a high-end piece with its classical, elegant, and hollow design, not to mention the built-in LED lights that simulate flames. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy incense without the risk of open flames, making it extremely safe for use around furniture and rugs. However, as beautiful as the packaging is, it came with absolutely no instructions! There’s nothing to guide you on what temperature to use or which products work best with it. The box included the burner and a few accessories like tweezers, a spice spoon, and a spice dish, but without any clear instructions on how to properly use them, it’s a bit overwhelming. I was especially looking forward to trying out the adjustable heating time and temperature feature, but without any guidance, I’m left guessing how to get the best experience. Because of this lack of essential information, I can only give it 3 stars. If they could include detailed instructions, this would easily be a 5-star product for me.

Electric incense burner
This burner is not only beautiful, it is amazing as well. Definitely worth spending a little extra to get the timer and temperature control. This way you can adjust the temperature according to what you are burning. I have frankincense set at 210-220 and it gives a little smolder. You can barely see any smoke, yet the room smells like heaven!
