It holds a surprising amount of weight with no wobbling or creaking.It looks great too — simple, clean, and modern with a natural warmth that fits into just about any room. I absolutely love this 16 cube organizer. After reading the other reviews I had some concerns about the quality but I am 100% satisfied. I understand the comments made but I'm still very happy. I ordered the best rope baskets to go with my organizer. The look is great. Some of the baskets are very full but the organizer is holding up just fine. Would I put this size in a kids room? Probably not! This is not a jungle gym. It is a cube organizer/storage. Mine is not mounted to a wall because it is free standing in my room. It is 100% sturdy for my purposes.

Where do I start? I guess let me give you a little information about myself. In the last 10 years between my house, my families houses, and a few friends houses, I've built about 40(ish) IKEA and IKEA style pieces of furniture. I'm the type of guy to put wood glue on the dowels to give things a little bit more oomph. This is, without a doubt, the cheapest, nastiest, and flimsiest piece I've ever built (and I've built some 30 dollar Target furniture).First, I will give them some credit: all the pieces were there and there were 2 extra dowels. Thats it, every else about this was horrible. Out of the box, the pieces had hair on them and some parts had black scratches. On top of that, I figure that the extra dowels are for how cheap and easily the ones they provide break. I've had maybe 3 or 4 dowels break on me in the past combined, with this one I broke 3 of them. The particle board they used was also so poor that with your fingernail you could scrape it off. Did I also mention that they didn't make all the holes? Ya, I had to make holes because you could see where some were started but never finished.Then assembling this wobbly mess by following the instructions only leads to a nightmare of a build if you go at it alone. Trying to center everything, while it makes cracking sounds from the cheap dowels snapping from the weight of the cheap particle board, is a huge pain. I had to add my own screws on the sides after the 3rd dowel broke just to finish the build.What a nightmare. PLEASE dont buy this product...

Beautiful shelf and easy to assemble it also looks expensive

Using for closet storage. This is a pretty solid unit. It is sturdy for use of shoes, clothing, etc. It exceeded my expectations of this type of unit. I've purchased similar previously and they are very low quality. Not the case with this.

I purchased the 16 cube unit. I am very happy with this item. I am a 64 year old woman and I was able to put this together by myself. Item was well packed without a lot of extra packing to throw away. Just be aware that the 16 cube unit weighs nearly 100 lbs so it will more than likley take 2 people to move in in your house after delivery. It comes with an alan wrench to assemble. Using a drill or cordless screwdriver will make assembly way faster /easier.
