Philips Epilator Series 8000, 3-in-1, BRE720/14

I was honestly a little scared to try an epilator for the first time. I had always shaved, but I was getting tired of how quickly the hair would grow back sometimes in just a day or two. I wanted something that was better for my skin and would last longer, so after seeing a lot of positive reviews about the Philips Epilator Series 8000, I decided to go for it. At first, it was a little painful, especially on more sensitive areas like the underarms. But I had already read that it would get easier, and it’s true after a few passes, I got used to it. The device is easy to handle, and I love that it comes with different attachments, which made the whole experience more comfortable. I used it on my underarms and legs, and I was genuinely shocked at how smooth my skin felt afterward. It’s been several days and there’s still no hair, which is something I’ve never experienced with shaving. I also didn’t get the usual irritation or razor bumps, which is a big win for me. What I loved: Hair-free for days (no stubble the next morning!) Only reviewing because it’s obvious a lot of the reviews are incentivized and this one is not! This device is life changing. I use it everywhere (yes, there. ALL of it). It was scary at first but once you get through that first time, it becomes so much easier to maintain. It’s actually more scary than it is painful if you really think about it, so just prepare mentally for it. I’m a weenie and I was able to do it with some self motivation lol. I am saving so much money and time that would have been spent on brazilian waxes. And while it’s not a pleasant feeling, it is significantly less painful than waxing because it’s not all at once. And I have zero ingrown hairs. You also don’t have to wait for all of the hair to come back, so it becomes MUCH easier after the initial session. I use it maybe once a week and the new hairs are more delicate and sparse so it’s super easy and quick. I definitely recommend doing it in the shower because it is less painful. I don’t find that it’s less effective that way as some reviews imply. I’m now doing my underarms too. I will never pay for a wax again! Just hold that skin taught, take a deep breath, and go for it!

Works great. Be very careful around your labia. It is easy to have it pinch the skin. And yes, it does hurt when it pulls out the hair. Similar to tweezing.

My first time using an epilator. I honestly was using it incorrectly at first, so I was not too happy. However, once I corrected user-error (specifically angle, pressure, and adjusting for how my hair grows - direction)…it is amazing what a close, clean, epilation I get!!! Totally impressed! Highly recommend.

Yo la vi por tiktok, llevo usándola 3 meses y de verdad fue una compra muy buena. El depilado si duele pero vale totalmente la pena, además me gusta el accesorio para la zona íntima: es como una rasuradora que deja el vello muy cortito pero sin depilarlo por completo, lo cual es ideal y muy cómodo para pieles sensibles en esa zona. Super recomendada!

I’ve been using this for my armpits for about 6 months, maybe a little more. It hurt a bit the first 2 times, but after that I don’t feel anything. I used to shave every 3–4 days, but over time my hair started growing back much less. Now I only shave about every two weeks, and the hair is so thin I barely notice it unless I really look closely.

It works just ok. Leaves a lot of hair behind and you have to work an area for a while and still not get all the hair.

I cannot describe how much I love this product. I will never shave again. Yes it hurts but to me it’s totally worth a couple of painful minutes for WEEKS of being smooth and hairless.

Does the job pretty good. However it is very slow so took about an hour to do just my legs and I had to recharge after doing just one leg. I also found that using it resulted in alot of ingrown hairs which is something Ive never had an issue with when shaving. In terms of pain its not too bad on the legs, for the underarms its tolerable if you have a high pain tolerance. The shaver head is useful for areas that are too sensitive for the epilator. So overall its fairly good but probably not worth the money. Even though I can shave less using it, its honestly such a hassle to use that Id rather just shave every couple of days.
