Can this be used on modern car engines. my mb vito 2015, diesel states no addeditive should be added to the fuel. some say it may damage the cat?

If your user manual or manufacturer literature states that no additives should be used, then I would follow that directive. However, it is something that you might want to check with the manufacturer. If you use fuel from a recognised oil company, like shell or BP etc. you don’t need to use this cleaner as the additives are already in your fuel. If you use supermarket fuel like Asda or Sainsburys, then you would want to use an additive, but like I said, check with your manufacturer first.

How does the MPG gains maintain for the full 4000 miles before the recommended time to add a new bottle to it?

I renew after approx. 3500 miles and am satisfied with the MPG since I have been using the product. An approx. gain of 3/4 MPG.

Is it safe for BMW x1 2016 diesel engine ?

Don’t see any reason why not, added to Mini Countryman Diesel engine, which is the same I believe

do i use this before or after filling in full tank?

I take it with me when I’m filling the tank so I can pour it in after the petrol
