can someone explain sizes of these to fit for each: flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda & smaller type flours (i.e. AI flours that come smaller)

For 2 lb bag brown sugar (7.5 cups) - it should fit in the 7.8 cup brown sugar container. For 5 lb bag sugar (11.25 cups) - it should fit in the 12 cup container. For 5 lb bag flour (17.45 cups) - put it in the 19.9 cup cereal container. (It all won’t fit in the labeled 16 cup flour container).

Will this keep brown sugar soft

Yes, this line of containers seals really tightly. Consider picking up a clay "brown sugar bear" if you don't have one. They're inexpensive, cute and really help. ASIN for the one I use is B000MT65BC

Are the lids for the 7.8 cup Brilliance containers the same as the lids for the 3.2 and 4.7 cup containers? I only want to get interchangeable sizes.

It never occurred to me that the lids would be "one size fits all," but they are - they are interchangeable!

Does this container come with the sugar saver that you would put in the container to keep it soft?
