Anyone experience color fading?

I purchased in May. No color fading, at least no noticable fade. Car never garage parked either.

What kind of grease should be used to avoid the corrosion?

They just cover the stem where you would air up a tire. I didn't use any grease of any kind. They screwed right in place no problem
