Hello. The UMI step down voltage 220v to 110v converter can work on both frequencies. It is not a double conversion device. The voltage converter will put out the same Hz as you put in. A transformer changes the voltage, not the frequency of the current supplied by the mains. The "mains" is the public supply of electricity. Some systems use 50 hertz frequency, others 60 hertz. Some appliances are designed to function on both frequencies but either exclusively on 110-120 volts or exclusively on 220-240 volts. Some work on both frequencies and both types of voltage. Almost all of appliances work on both frequencies. That's why transforming voltage is sufficient for most appliances. If in doubt, check the frequency of the mains and see if it is within the specifications of the appliance. If it says 50 Hz to 60 Hz, That would be OK.
