Very very accurate; a fine tool.
This is a very very accurate tool. It comes in a blue, hard plastic box, which stores the micrometer and its calibration spanner which is included in the package. The case closes and stays closed (you push the edge to open it). I didn't need to calibrate mine because it arrived perfectly calibrated, but the process looks simple enough to do should I need to in the future. The small turning screw at the end is used to close the caliper until it reaches the appropriate position to take the measurement and then starts clicking instead of further closing the micrometer. This is great if you want to measure something without risking bending it or over-tightening on it. This method improves the accuracy of the measuring because you take your applied pressure out of the equation. Reading the meter is straight-forward once you've got used to the scale - but I must admit it did seem a little daunting the first time. The readings are in metric - there's no option for imperial units, and converting using a calculator is both time-consuming and raises questions over accuracy -- not of the measurements themselves, but the number of decimal places you can consider the conversion accurate to, or in accuracy losses when attempting to convert decimal numbers to the standard fraction units used for imperial. Unfortunately I don't think there are any workarounds - if you need inch fractions, this micrometer is probably not the tool for you. In terms of accuracy, I've found the Draper tool very accurate measuring in 0.01mm increments. I tested using some plastic and metal plates I knew the exact sizes of (more accurately than 0.01mm) and this micrometer was exactly on the ball with their sizes. The tool itself seems quite strong, and perfectly able to take the odd accidental bump in its stride. As with any tool for fine measurement, I would not recommend mistreating it though. The plastic case is a little bare, with no markings telling you what's inside. I cut the outer cardboard cover it arrived in, and glued it on top to at least tell me what's inside the box (along with its specification and picture). That's not a "con" though, just something I noted. I have tried to think of something to put as a con, and actually failed. It's a very good tool and one I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend, or buy again if I need to.

GOOD VALUE; DECENT QUALITY
At this price-point, perfectly presented. Good finish and accuracy on my purchase.

Micrometer very good, but don't trust the 25mm setting standard.
Hard to fault. The micrometer feels robust, the movement is very smooth and it checks out 100% accurate against my Sheffield made Moore & Wright micrometers. On arrival it needed zeroing, but that's no big deal unless you don't have a trusted reference. However, don't trust the 25mm standard that it came with because it was 0.008mm undersize compared with my Moore & Wright one. The actual micrometer was accurate across the scale though once it had been calibrated. Very good value for just over 30 quid.

Superb and well manufactured - excellent.
A superbly manufactured micrometer - gives consistent and accurate measurements. Quick to use and easy to read measurements from. It is definitely possible to 'read between the lines' of the 0.01mm markings to an accuracy I would say of 0.002mm... Very nice, comes in good plastic box complete with little 'spanner' to 'set zero' with - although It keeps it's calibration perfectly well in use I find. A very nice item at a reasonable price and speedily delivered - easy 5-stars from me.

Easier to use than a digital vernier calliper for small objects
This is a bog-standard micrometer. It comes in a case with the tool needed to zero it. No instructions, but you can look up how to use it on Youtube if you don't know. I use this for measuring valve shims down to 0.01mm. I also have a digital calliper which reads to 0.01mm, but it's hard to get a steady reading on that. Once you know how to read it, this is easier to use for measurements in this range.

good mike
good micrometer and price is good, it took me a while to do calibration but after this everything is working fine, the only thing bothers me that brake lever is plastic, so it is only the matter of time when it will break, probably

Very Good.
I tend to use calipers and micro measurement tools like this every now and then. I avoid ones with batteries as they tend to die before I get to use them. These old analogue systems may be old fashioned, but they are accurate and never let you down. This Draper is a very well made piece of kit.

Ottima qualità/prezzo
Molto preciso e fatto bene per la fascia di prezzo. Consiglio una piccola lubrificazione del tamburo con olio per armi in modo che scorre ancora meglio. Ve lo Consiglio!
