Reliable even in winter in ny. Light was easy to install though I did use longer screws. Has stayed in place during the worst wind and snow. Would buy again. No issues.

I've owned this Solar Flood Light for more than a year. I deliberately bought this one because of the size of the battery. It DOES last all night. It DOES put out a lot of light. It IS convenient. The only negative thing I would put in this review is there is no way to know which mode you are in. You litterally have to guess. And then watch until the light goes out ( if that is the mode you want ). The daylight version of the light seems a bit brighter than the " warm " or soft light version. I have since bought two more. One thing you should know is if it rains, or a hard wind blows the tree limbs it will come on so don't get surprised.

As much with the instructions as with the product! it's hard to believe, but the instructions are actually understandable and correct. I'm not usually able to decipher, or sometimes even SEE, the instructions of new products, but this was pretty simple and really did spell out how to make the light do what we want it to do. The lowest level of brightness is more than enough for our needs and lights up everything within a 40-50' distance well enough to tell what we're looking at and within 15' we can read small print...even without our glasses. The highest level is definitely brighter, but not so much that it wakes the neighbors. Just don't look directly into the light. Being able to change how long it comes on when triggered is great...it's not on all night, unless you want it to be. The sensor says it'll pick up motion in a 180 degree arc, but our experience would indicate that it's actually more than that as it picks me up before I get even with the side of it. All in all, we're really pleased with it so far and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I know noting about it's longevity, having only had it for a couple of days. If it lasts a year, I will have gotten my money's worth out of it, I think.

I needed a light at the end of my driveway where my daughter parks her car. I didn't think a solar light was going to work because it rains all winter, but it's to far from the house so I thought I would try. This flood light has yet to receive a sunny day and it works just as good as a wired flood light. It's bright, the motion sensor works every time, you can adjust the brightness and length of time or leave it dusk to dawn. I was so impressed by this flood light that I ordered another for the side yard of my house. Tip, press the on button before you install so that you can use the remote.

***UPDATE*** The seller was great, they promptly responded to my email and sincerely wanted to assist. I reordered a replacement light and it works fine. Do not hesitate to buy there, they are responsible sellers. Initial Review:When I unpacked the light, in the evening (dark outside) I tested it by pushing the power button. The light came on and I switched modes and everything seemed fine and ready for mounting the next day (daylight). I prepared a mounting plate (wood) and drilled holes and easily mounted the unit. When darkness feel, I figured it might come on by itself, but it didn't so I switched power on again, and no light. I changed modes with the opposite button and nothing. Today I brought it back inside and blocked the solar panel, and still no light. So, it lasted one evening, unmounted. Now what??

Doesn't seem to work after like a week or two

Purchased to light my backyard when my dog goes outside at night. I installed it on a post that is near my back door beside steps. As soon as my 12 lb dog starts down the steps the motion detector turns on light. So the detector works well even for small creatures. Originally I was just going to turn light on and off a with the remote when going outside, but for remote to communicate it seems it must be directed to front of light not from behind it, so then I just decided to run it with motion detector on, which gives added security for night as well. I have a small yard about 50 ft deep, 40 feet wide surrounded by privacy fence, and the light illuminates my yard adequately. I chose warm light because that’s my preference. Also when buying lights remember to compare lumens. I found this adequate for my purpose. You can install with screws or supplied zip ties. Check measurement of distance between screws if planning to attach that way. I was planning to screw light into 4x4 fence post but screw holes too wide apart. Could be fixed by attaching wider piece of wood to post or using zip ties. I used zip ties. I found the instructions for operation with remote left me with some questions, maybe could be clearer but figured it out.

Update: light has started not lasting through the night. I don’t know if that’s because we’re now in fall and days are shorter. But the light it is getting should be enough for a full charge. I bought this to have light in the backyard when I get home from work to take my dog out. Works perfectly. Provides great light that lasts all night and the next morning. Easy to install, several modes to choose. The light gimbles so you can adjust the angle. I am pleasantly surprised the light stays lit all night on one charge. The deck/fence lights from same company are basically crap at this point. I bought just 1 to try it out, I’ll probably buy one more for the end of the yard.
