Can you put on ball at a time on this or do you have to have one out the bottom also like some ? Looking for just one ball at time

Has the issue with broken pins that hold the balls on been fixed?

It is a socket cap allen head bolt that holds in on. Seems nice. Haven't used it a lot but i do like it cuz u can take the ball off the bottom so it doesn't bottom out on anything like most do.
