Tire Carrier Swingout Builder's Kit (Mega Spindle with 5x4.5,5x5,5x5.5 wheel plate)

Came with everything I needed to build my swing-out tire carrier. I really like this kit. Update: After having my tire carrier assembled for over a year, most everything is still holding up well. I don't like the threaded handle setup they provide, and am no longer using it and went with a latch--accessing the back of my jeep while having to spin the handle countless rotations was too much hassle and took a lot of time. In hindsight, I'm curious of the overhead this company clears with this kit; there just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of special prepped material included, aside from the spindle. The races and bearings can be bought from an auto supply store or even walmart. The pre-drilled tire mounting plate is handy but in reality it doesn't take much thought to make your own.... All of this is in hindsight though. In order to piece everything together and/or make the kit myself, it would have taken some considerable time and prep work to locate everything needed. My only gripe is the price. Knock it down $20 and its a great kit.

I have now had two of these spindles break off right below the bottom bearing. The second one was only holding a 33" tire, nothing else. Not heavy duty as advertised.

Everything I received looks very high quality. Can’t wait to build the rear bumper with swing-away tire carrier for my Jeep.

Works well, seems the bolt for the latch could be a little longer.... but it worked for me
