TroubleShooting: Mastering your Pistol Marksmanship, Vol. 1

Book is primitive, contains basic and simple suggestions, not helpful for serious training.
Not what I expected. The book is ok for beginners and gives very basic advice and tips how to shoot firearms. If you are serious about shooting sports and join bullseye competitions - look elsewhere.Though scarce but there still are other books available on the market and sometimes in different languages that contain much more profound information, training tips and fine details how to become an excellent shooter. For example: Le tir à la cible by Jacques Beausergent is much better than this one.

Fantastic
I brought the Kindle edition of the book Ms. Gabby Franco wrote, “TROUBLESHOOTING (Masteringyour [sic] Pistol Marksmanship Book 1).” Well worth every penny, my accuracy literally improved noticeably within a day! Gabby describes in easy to understand language what to do, and why. She suggest exercises so the reader can understand what the technique should be like. Also, lots of pictures illustrating, and further clarifying the point. I have many books, watched videos and read articles on the Internet, yet this book pointed out the things I forgot, or never knew (or really thought I knew but was doing wrong all along). It’s the little things that made a big difference in my case. I’ve been shooting off and on since nineteen seventy six, recently got into target shooting. One major thing I struggled with was the front post sight on the pistol was blurry. Turns out I didn’t need prescription shooting glasses, I was holding my head wrong, now the post sight is crystal clear. This is not, nor claims to be a self defense tactics manual, just improving marksmanship.

Recommended practice at home and safe dry firing will also ...
This book will help anyone wanting to shoot a handgun well. About 40 years ago I started shooting at targets & tin cans holding the gun with one hand. I stopped shooting for about 20 years and recently started again. I am trying to hold the gun with both hands but I need some help. Gabby's Book will certainly help me do things the right way and I will take it to the range. Recommended practice at home and safe dry firing will also help. The Book is a BARGAIN compared to private coaches and wasted ammo.

Essential Took for Any Shooter
I took Gabby's Shoot Perfect course and was totally impressed. Years of bad habits were cured, or at least identified. Gabby's manual is the next best thing to having her instruct you in person. Her goal is to make you the best marksman you can be, with sound fundamentals and an understanding of what goes into making a good shot. We take simple things for granted, such as "focus on the front sight." Gabby shows you why this is important. Once I quit "watching" the front sight and started SEEING the front sight, my groups shrank dramatically. The book is full of fundamentals that are deceptively simple, but are actually quite profound. Like me, you will have that "Ah ha!" moment when everything starts to make sense. Over the last 40 years, I've seen courses that specialized in gun handling, tactics, and dealing with lethal force issues. None of this means anything if you can't hit the target. This manual will make you a better shooter. Buy one copy for the shelf, and stick another in your range bag. You won't regret it.

Excellent Reinforcement Material
There are some great examples & guides in this book that someone can practice & study while at the range. The only reason I rank it 4 stars is the grammar isn't perfect & the little errors make the book not as polished as it should. It does make it a little harder to recommend to peers as gun-centric material is usually criticized harder than most. That being said, I really love the easy at watch Gabby approaches the material. I look forward to making use of it at my next range outing. I'm going to put this in my range bag along with other materials I've purchased

The Best Troubleshooting Book on the Market!!!
Extremely detailed book containing very accurate descriptions of target shooting problems and remedies! Gabby does an excellent job and this book should be in every gun-owners arsenal from beginner to professional because of how it breaks everything down to it's lowest common denominator! Too bad this book gets overshadowed by more notable male shooters books which are equally as good but do not do such a wonderful job as this book does when it comes to explaining what the shooter is likely doing wrong.

Must have
I've been following Gabby for a long time now. She is smart, funny, knowledgable and a straight to the point kinda gal, which is what I love about her. I've been shooting for a while but after reading her book, it gave me even more ideas on how I can improve my shooting. There's never too much training or knowledge you can acquire when it comes to firearm training. It's very clear and easy to read. A must have!

Absolute Must Have
This is a great book to have at home and to take with you to the range. Anyone wanting to improve their marksmanship (who wouldn't) is going to benefit from Gabby's book. It is filled with detailed "how to" pictures, practical practice drills (with and without ammunition) and links for further information on different shooting sports you can get involved with so that you can continue to grow as a competitive shooter (or to just have fun with other people who enjoy shooting). She also shares how to choose a firearm that is right for you and includes a Trouble Shooting section in the back to refer to at the range if shots are being dropped, etc. It's all about learning the fundamental and being aware of what it is you are doing while shooting so you can monitor and adjust on your own without getting frustrated at yourself. So what are you waiting for? Buy the book! Go practice and have fun!!

One of the Best Pistol Marksmanship Books
TroubleShooting: Mastering your Pistol Marksmanship contains a lot of useful techniques that will improve your pistol marksmanship whether you are a beginner or an experienced pistol shooter. Covers all of the elements of "shooting fundamentals" including: stance, grip, trigger control, sight alignment, and follow-through. Contains useful photographs to illustrate the techniques which are discussed in the book as well as useful drills to develop and reinforce the techniques. One omission in the book though is there is no reference to canting your Support Hand Wrist 45 degrees when establishing your Support Hand Grip on the pistol. Notwithstanding this omission, still one of the best books for improving your marksmanship when shooting a pistol. 4 out of 5 stars due to the above referenced omission.
