Q: Is the toy pretty quiet? I have a new kitten i want to keep occupied while i sleep at night.

It is fairly quiet, much more quiet than other electric toys I've recently purchased. It’s a great toy.

Q: Replacement feathers? Within 10 mins went through 2 sets of feathers.

Wow.. I have not ran out of thefeathers yet. I saw that there is replacement feathers sold separately.

Q: It looks like it would be easy for cats to remove/pull out the feather attachment while playing. How tough is it for them to do so?

Very easy for kittens to destroy the feathers. I've contacted the seller two times about replacement feathers, and no response. Now, less than a month the entire toy will not charge or work. This has been returned, because it is garbage.

Q: How is the battery recharged? usb? could i connect a protable battery pack to it?

Yes, USB Type-C cable in pack. Even if not it's a c cable for cell phones.ect... it is a really good teaser toy my kitties love it
